Perhaps as a fighter he had the skill but he didn't face the right men at the right time.

Jones beat two of the best fighters ever in the 90's...lost one fight to D'Q avenged it with a 1st Round Ko, won titles from Middle to lightheavyweight, which is a feat in its own self.

Lewis had some great wins, but I take beating Toney and Hopkins over Holyfield and Rudduck? Or Golota...Plus Lewis was Ko'd in the 90's while Jones wasn't.

And were they tip top in their respective primes?
Roy avenged a DQ but didn't avenge his 2 brutal ko losses.
However Lennox did and retired after defeting every man he ever faced.
And I think you missed quite a few names off Lewis list.
Tua , Shannon Briggs , Tommy Morrison , Ray Mercer , McCall , Michael Grant (Undefeated at the time) , Vitali (Beat him even out of shape).
All these fighters were more dangerous than Toney or Slopkins.
In fact old popkins best win is over a Welterweight anyway.
He lost to the best he faced.

This is the problem i have with Fighter's these day's they think cause they are the most talented skillwise that we should just assume they are the best & let them pick who they wanna fight

this is what's killing Boxing people who are satisfied to see RJJ & PBF fight who they want at what point they want & still remain on top of the p4p list ,im a Boxing fan & i wanna see them show case their talent against the best fighter's possible but unfortunately that will never happen while people are satisfied to wacth them dominate your Hall ,Lucas,Frazier's ,Baldomir ,Gatti , of the world & avoid people in their division like Darius & Cotto etc

I don't think he was the best fighter of the 90's because his competition was not as good as Lennox lewis for starters.

That's what you said earlier, Im not debating the career of Jones Vs Lewis..

I was saying Jones was a better fighter from 1990-2000 which he won the award "Boxer of the Decade"

He knew Hopkins still had another 8 years before hitting his prime.
