Yes and WHICH WRITERS association gave him that award again????
Was it THE AMERICAN WRITERS association?
I wonder why Lewis didn't win that?
    Hmmmm
    Makes me wonder.

LOL. Yeah, Roy was like, "Better to fight him now than to wait till he's really good at 36!"

        Hmm let me see.
Why didn't he re-match Hopkins who himself says hit his prime 8 yrs after Roy?
Why didn't he fight Toney again up the Ladder?
        Dariusz Michalczewski?
        Get my drift?
Or do you accept Hopkins was at his peak in 1993?

pathetic that a fighter can avoid a rival in his division who people are crying out for him to fight ,
That's the problem with Haterz, they want to see the fighter they dont like fight everybody. And if they happen to beat everybody, they were all too old or two green or too fat.

The only fighter I wish Jones would have fought was Dariusz Michalczewski, but neither wanted to leave his back yard. Yes Jones is the one that get's blamed.

Probably because he was KTFO during BOTH his title reigns by guys he had no business losing to.

You mean the same as Roy who lost to Tarver & Glen Johnson?
If he is as good as you say he is he had no business losing to these 2.
And you forget Lewis re-matched and won both his losses by KO.
                Something Roy will NEVER do.
And coincidentally the fight after Roy tests Positive for Steroids is the fight where he suddenly looks bad.
Hmmm I wonder what Sherlock Holmes would think?

                  Haterz

I like Floyd & Roy check how many hate thread's i have started about either fighter ,that is a typical reaction of a die hard fan

i just want to see the best of both fighter's there is nothing worse than watching a fighter beat up on anitoher who u know just aint got the skill's to make the fight compeitive , yet there are fighter's out there people are crying out for u to fight cause at the very least it would be great entertainment

                    Hmm let me see.
                    Yes, let's see moofo.

Why didn't he re-match Hopkins who himself says hit his prime 8 yrs after Roy?
So in May 1993, Roy Jones - the IBF's #2 ranked middleweight - should NOT have fought Bernard Hopkins - the IBF's NUMBER ONE ranked middleweight - for the VACANT title because what...? Wouldn't you say that was the right time? Didn't he WIN? And then move on and notch even bigger wins en route to becoming known as the world's best? One, How did he stop a rematch from happening and two, how does this prove your initial point that Roy didn't fight him at the right time?

Why didn't he fight Toney again up the Ladder?
Because James Toney lost his subsequent bouts? And so Roy fought the guy WHO BEAT HIM like a CHAMPION should? WTF?
                    Dariusz Michalczewski?
                    Didn't I answer this?

                    Get my drift?
                    No.

Or do you accept Hopkins was at his peak in 1993?
Not that you're making any sense but I'll answer anyway. NO. And neither was Roy Jones. I'm through with this debate--for now. Some pretty big football games today and I'm not in the mood to go back and forth with guys who clearly have personal biases. Overrated? Give me a break.

You mean the same as Roy who lost to Tarver & Glen Johnson?
Yep, that Roy. And that's why he won't win Fighter of the Decade for this mellenium. Neither my friend, will Lennox.
If he is as good as you say he is he had no business losing to these 2.
Didn't I just say this about Lennox?
And you forget Lewis re-matched and won both his losses by KO.
                      Something Roy will NEVER do.
Ah, he avenged his losses. Good for him.
And coincidentally the fight after Roy tests Positive for Steroids is the fight where he suddenly looks bad.
                      Resorting to lies now?
Hmmm I wonder what Sherlock Holmes would think?
Goodbye now. Thanks for the laugh.
