Toney always fight to the level of his competition though, so you cant really use that as an argument.

McCallum was 35 by then I think it's safe to say he was past his prime but that doesn't mean he wasn't still good.
I think McCallum was at his best from 84 to 87. Not too sure about that though.
His run after the loss to Sumbu Kalambay wasn't very solid, he had split decisions against Kalambay in the rematch and Herol Graham but solid wins over Watson and Collins (who weren't much at the time atleast).

I'm arguing with enough morons today, I'd rather not get into it with someone who has a muscled up gay man in his avatar.

But I'll endulge you this once, Toney was definitely not given a gift against Griffin, he was outboxed and outslicked by him. Robbed against Thadzi? Shut the hell up, how the hell was he robbed? It was semi close, but certainly no robbery, in fact, it was clear for Thadzi by my score. You're writing off all of his losses to bums as robberies.

There is no hate on my side, just someone who's sick of people overrating the hell out of this guy.

You clearly never watched any of his fights, you say the same **** that Toney haters been saying for all these years.

Even HBO who hates Toney had both Griffin fights for Toney, the only men that dominate Toney in his career was Sam Peter in the second fight, not even Jones can match what peter did in the second fight.

Besides I can say Ali, Duran, Robinson, Jones, Louis, Lewis etc..are overrated too, it's very easy to talk out of you ass about some fighters.

Now go clean your eyes and actually watch the fights before talking out of your ass mother ****er.

I never said it wasnt his fault. Im just saying he's notorious for fighting close fights, so you cant just say, "hey so and so beat this guy easier than Toney did, so he's better."

And Jones is better than Toney, just saying you cant use that as argument with a guy who fights everybody relatively close. Its rare when Toney just blows guys out. Even when he was campaigning at Cruiser fighting the likes of Robinson and Washington, he wasn't blowing them out.

Explain the Tiberi and Drake Thadzi fights...?

Just like the Jones fight, that's why I don't think much of Jones victory over Toney.

Toney was off some nights and had some serious weight issues in those fights. Drake Thadzi received a gift and the Tiberi fight could've gone either way. Don't tell me those guys clearly won those fights, especially Thadzi.

The only man dominated James Toney in fight was Sam Peter in the rematch.
