It's funny how an Oscar - Cotto thread has turned into a what if Floyd - Cotto discussion. Floyd Cotto aint happening any time soon. They all know what is going to take place. Cotto and Oscar will fight on Cinco de Mayo and create millions (20 episodes of 24/7) Then Floyd will make his return next year and fight the winner for the richest payday in boxing history thanks to 40 episodes of 24/7. Anyway, Cotto vs Oscar is a good fight, and I don't think it will make it to the final bell.

Well, everyone wants to see Floyd/Cotto. But if Floyd is AWOL, Oscar is not a terrible replacement.

I hear what ur saying, but the fight makes lots of money, and it's intriguing. Oscar only has 1 or 2 fights left, and they are gonna be against the best possible opponents, deserving or not, thats just reality. He put himself in this position by having the perfect career, not perfect record, but perfect management and outstanding accomplishments (Bob Arum, Gold Medal, all those Championships). And it's the classic Mexican vs PR fight, it sells big time. As for ur bet, I never said Oscar beats Cotto, but I did say Floyd beats Cotto (Easily). If that's fight ur referring to for the bet then your on. I don't got 50k though, but I'd happily take urs.

thats the same thing as Floyd VS Hatton homie you can't really hold it against dude, my complaint is that Oscar hasn't really beaten no one in his last 5, even had to steal a fight to preserve another loss, I'm just saying even if he's coming straight at the champ at 147 and can pose a big pay day for him then cool, as long as he is a deserving guy who is a legit threat and not someone who came up short everytime he faced a GOOD fighter ya feel me, he don't even have to be undefeated neither I'm just saying as long as he has done SOMETHING but Oscar hasn't beaten anybody good enough to qualify, thats why I said after a tune up it would be cool but how it looks that he could just jump at Cotto after having a loss and Cotto beating a guy who beat him twice, if Cotto fought a bum in his last fight then I could understand and say **** it but he beat someone who beat Oscar twice yo, I'm just saying ya dig don't come off a loss and expect to just bounce back at a king, Judah couldn't do it so why should he? a bigger name? I'd happily watch this fight and root for Cotto. This way, if Cotto wins, he'll be a big money star and get Floyd's attention. Hopefully they can do a dec fight in 2008.
