Think about it, because that's honestly what you're insinuating even though you might not realize it.
Ricky Hatton was fighting ugly. Floyd Mayweather was fighting dirty. Floyd actually perpetrated most of the holding, and when he wasn't holding, he was fouling Ricky with elbows and and pushing on his head and sticking his forearm in Rickys throat.
Ricky through a couple of elbows, but really only in retaliation to Floyd. Ricky was not fighting dirty, he was fighting ugly.

Hatton has never fought ugly... that was just a term conjured up for people to use to call it when he fought dirty. He has never had any actual ability at fighting on ths inside, so they called him pushing his opponents around while holding and hitting "ugly" as opposed to "****ing ******" or "dirty". It's just the same as when people say Mayweather "moves really well" as opposed to, "gets on his bike for 10 rounds".

That is irrelevant though, because the fact remains, Joe Cortez influenced the fight through his actions.

Seriously, Mayweather was the better man but Cortez was poor be honest.
He jumped on both fighters from the start and never let the fight flow. The point deduction was facilitated by Floyd turning away and ducking down below waist height which as you should know is also illegal therefore how can he take a point from Hatton?
The outcome was not affected and the better man won but the referee did not do a good job on the night.

Please.
When Hatton did his WWF act on Kostya, all his fans went on and on about how its a tactic, and regardless, the bottom line was, Hatton won.
Now Ricky loses, and suddenly the shoe doesn't fit anymore? He got outclassed, outboxed, and just straight up outfought by a better fighter.
You can go complain all you want but Floyd figured out Hatton, just like he figured out Judah, just like he figured out every other fighter that gave him problems in the early rounds.
I didn't see many people raise such an issue about the ref before the fight. Then, it was all about how Ricky had some 'crazy look' in his eyes, about how Ricky 'got under' Floyd's skin, how Ricky was going to have Floyd rolling around screaming, coughing up blood, from a Hatton bodyshot (LOL).
I mean please, stop the excuses.

If you were actually versed in Hattons style, you would know this. There is a reason why Hatton is able to throw right uppercuts, and that is because he doesn't hold and hit.
Ricky snakes his arm in around his opponents, effectively forcing his opponent to hold onto his bicep from the outside, but leaving him completely free to throw uppercuts.
It would be more properly termed neutralizing his opponents limbs as he maneuvers them into a position where he is able to throw, but they are not.
Obviously he has a proclivity towards clenching when he is done working, but he doesn't hold and hit, and the reasons for his clenching are obvious. He is about 3 feet tall, and has arms about as long as a toddler. If he didn't clinch when he was done, he would get hit on his way out.
Overall, Ricky is a pretty clean fighter, but he is not aesthetically pleasing, hence he is an ugly fighter.

Anyone noticed the picture he had with Floyd afterwards doing the number one sign for Floyd.
So unclassy of a referee, a promoter or anything like that i'd understand but no a referee who has just ref'd the biggest fight in a long time
