Then why did Hatton say that he wanted three fights to get accustomed to the time zones, American crowds, etc?

Ask Nard what happened last time he fought in some guy's town. Or Pernell. Or JMM.

I literally fell asleep during this fight. The rounds I did watch were as exciting as watching paint dry. Neither one had the balls to engage and stand their ground. Who the **** said that this might be Fight of the Year?

I wasn't mentioning judging. I was talking about the way you fight. And I don't give a **** about Ricky Hatton, or what he says. He could have 70 fights to get used to it, he'll lose to Floyd Mayweather. He may want to get used to it, but at the end of the day, if you fall back on that excuse, I lose a bit of respect for you, to be honest.

Gift decisions is a completely different arguement.

So, American fighters can stay in America... but if you're not in America, you have to travel. Got it. I thought you went where the money is, but I must have been wrong. Boxing is to allow foreigners to travel, not to make the most money and the best fights. My bad.

America has airplanes, too. Calzaghe is the draw in a fight with Hopkins, Tarver, Dawson, Kessler, Pavlik, Taylor, Bute, ANYONE in or around his weight class. He has the TRUE UNIFIED Super-middleweight title and hasn't lost in 17 years, undefeated as a pro. He shouldn't HAVE to travel, he might, perhaps to Yankee stadium, to fight an older Hopkins. But he doesn't have to do ****. Until Hopkins (one of my favorite fighters) can draw half the crowd that Joe does, he WONT have to do ****. Other than Kessler, none of the mu****as that I mentioned can do that either.

He's not afraid to travel, I really don't think he is. I just don't think anyone LIKES to travel and he shouldn't have to. People can come to him at this point.

The money is in America. The USA has 5x the population. While the Yanks won't pack 50,000 into an arena (7 mil revenue), they WILL sell 400K PPV's ( 20 mil revenue). Not debatable, even.

That sleepy little bout between Hopkins and Wright? Generated 2x what Calzaghe's gate did tonite.

Hatton is getting his biggest payday. By far. Where? Why?

Why are you acting as if PPV's can only take place from Las Vegas? Tonights fight could have easily been a PPV. The fans dont give a **** where its at. They just want to watch.

Who cares? Calzaghe has earned the right to defend wherever the **** he wants. If somebody wants him, they can seek him out. I have no problem with this position.

I am still under the impression that the location of a fight has no effect on how many people can watch it on hbo...
