Im a huge Mayweather fan,but its quite obvious Floyd's trying to replicate to a certain degree Pernell's defensive prowless.

I call bull****, floyd does not show off in the ring, nor does he juke and jive like sweet pea did. there's a reason why floyd is undefeated and sweet pea wasn't

Sweat Pea was better and (IMO) fought the better, more steady competition. This guy was taking on champion after champion and contender after contender.

Sweet Pea was undefeated till he fought a prime Oscar De La Hoya while he was past his prime. and even that fight is a maybe win for him.

his first unvontroversial loss was when he was on crack and fighting Trinidad.

Despite Pernell's great defense, he had suffered flash knock downs.

Floyd's glove touched the canvass once against Judah.

Both have absorbed hard shots to the head but remained conscious throughout their fights.

That was an exciting fight because he came to Trinidad.

I always enjoyed watching Pea fight. Something about his style that I found incredibly entertaining.

pernell was a more complete fighter, and he had a better resume. pernell fought all the good fighters of his era when they were in their prime, and a few up and comers like de la hoya. floyd has not fought all the good fighters of his era. he bounces around to fighters that are past their prime and ducks all the hungry up and comers. he's gonna fight hatton now, but what happened to cotto? mosely? margarito? and don't give the excuse that non of them wanted to fight, you can make any fight happen. i hav'nt seen pernell duck anyone, but i've seen floyd duck almost everyone. floyd needs to unify all tye titles in his respected weight class

Floyd because he had more power and defensively they both made you look foolish. The speed of them is also pretty equal and there reflexes were top notch. However, the power is what makes Floyd more complete.

                      Dammmnn....

pelonxsoldier28, that's a sad pic in your avi.

I'll always remember him in his good days, though.

He accomplished a lot in the sport.

                      Guess nobody's perfect.
