At the time that Hopkins was getting knocked down Roy Jones was P4P #1 in the sport, Bill Clinton was President, and I had taken 4,674 less ****s than I have to date.

When I say Hopkins is the best that is right now.

That bull**** hugging is a defensive tactic known as "clinching."

It's been an integral aspect of Boxing for the last 5 minutes or so..

Seems to work here and there.
The plan that was mentioned before, during and after the fight. Let him punch himself out and drown him late exactly what happened. And Zab won the first 3 out of 4 rds. he didn't make Floyd look like a fool by any means other than the ONE big shot he got in which Floyd took very well

Floyd Mayweather, Jr is one of the most classical, fundamentally sound fighters that we have seen in a LONG time. A long time.
Yeah....no he's not. His style is very awkward and unorthodox. I dont know what you are smoking.

Name one fighter who is more fundamentally sound or more skilled fighter than Floyd.

            Teca,

We have already established that you just started following boxing in the past year.

Your boxing knowledge is very limited. That post is a clear example.

Yeah, it's a shame. Because we all know proper fundamentals are always taught with your left hand down and a sideways stance........

Mayweather has obviously overcome tougher opponents than Hatton. Hatton gets rocked by a nobody and dropped, while Mayweather got rocked by a veteran and immediately covers up, then hunts him down. Composure obviously goes to Mayweather..

Veteran HBO Commentator, Jim Lampley, once stated something to the extent of, "The logical choice is to always choose Floyd Mayweather Jr. by Unanimous Decision."... That has been the consensus opinion in generally every bout he has confidently entered and I firmly agree that this match-up with Ricky Hatton will provide no reason for a change of heart...

The British brawler will attempt to start slow, but eventually succumb to his usual method of launching power shots to the body and head, which will be slickly parried and/or blocked by the Philly Shell defense of Mayeather Jr...
Floyd will expertly maneuver his way around the canvas and pot shot his way to a Unanimous Decision victory...

^ THIS IS WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN AND MOST LIKELY WILL OCCUR ^

                  HERE IS MY OPINION

Ricky Hatton will start slow in an attempt to get a feel for the enigmatic mystery that is the style of Floyd Mayweather Jr... Floyd, convinced that his superior size will smother the natural Junior Welterweight, will gain confidence and attempt to out-punch and out-power the smaller Hatton... Hatton will battle back and suprise Mayweather with his own level of power and Floyd will then settle into his natural groove of in-and-out offense, yet Ricky will refuse to let Floyd out-box him, encouraging him to attack the Pretty Boy in an ODLH type fashion... ( Hatton at this stage in his career has superior footspeed and lateral movement than that of a 34 year old Oscar )
Hatton will be more successful in catching up with Floyd, than De La Hoya, but he will most likely not be able to affectively land as in the case of Oscar..............
All in All, I believe this bout may provide more drama than expected and could possibly be an exciting fight...... Floyd may beautifully and brutally embarass Hatton a la Mayweather-Gatti, or, Ricky Hatton could shock the world by flooring the consensus Pound-4-Pound champ with a 10 count...
                  Who really knows???
I just can't wait to find out.

the video showed how each man could recover after being "hurt".. now that i think about it, floyd never really seems to take much damage throughout his fights, he really doesn't get hit a whole lot
