How about Arreola?
In the 2009 end-of-year HW list he's ranked #6... and before losing to Vitali in September of that year, he had knocked out Jameel McCline in April. In the notes for that fight on BoxRec, it says that Arreola entered the fight as The Ring's #8 ranked HW... so I would guess, that he hadn't been dropped from their Top-10 by the time he met Vitali? Anyone with the monthly rankings in front of them should easily be able to find out.
Boxrec used to have monthly ratings for every year. Yeah, still working on their algorithm that they have butchered too many times when it looked like they had arrived to consensus. Easier to use, gone now, or at least the last time I looked.Comment

Gavilan is a consensus top ten all time welterweight champion.
Vitali fought Danny Williams, that guy whose record is 54-32 with17 ko losses.
Vitali fought Ross Puritty, that guy whose record is31-20-3.
Name the ten fighters who were Ring ranked when Vitali fought them?
Vitali had 47 pro boxing fights and 14 amateur ones, thats 61 in total
So are are you now claiming he had over 240 kick boxing bouts , pro and amateur?
Post them!
Because I've just read his pro kick boxing resume and it states his record is 34-1! That combined with his amateur and pro boxing fights comes to a total of 95 So you have to find around another 200 bouts to support your claim that.

What matter if everyone joins in, we're looking for an answer to whether or not Vitali's opposition was of a high caliber or not, not whether you or Jab knows more information.Comment
