Marciano stops Toney. Ya Toney has never been stopped but he also never fought Marciano. We have footage of Marciano beating down charles, walcott and Moore. The guys Toney learned from only he’s a middleweight who wouldn’t have the power to keep Marciano off of him.

i think toney would land the cleaner and more effective punches in a 12 round fight. he was a brilliant infighter when he wasn't taking a break offensively.

toney vs jirov showed that toney can deal with a torrid pace (yes, i know jirov isn't a bone breaker, but the guy still threw a ****load, and he was an olympian. if i remember correctly he was an outstanding amateur, with a gold medal at the olympics)

and that was in '02 or '03 (in new england, btw ^^)



what would the fight look like?
i think james would fight in spots in the center of the ring at a middle distance with one punch at a time, but otherwise lay on the ropes and try and land his counterpunches and roll rocky's stuff

James would be a fool to lay on the ropes against Marciano, the man was just too strong of a puncher. Taking those shots on the arms can be gruelling against a strong puncher and will affect his punching. James was slick as hell doe and would land his shots while making most of Marcianos punches miss.

I think that James would be forced to the ropes. As a Heavyweight James couldn't move anything like he could at his lighter weights. I remember landing a good shot against James, he jumped on his bike and maaaaan was he elusive. I couldn't hit him with a handfull of marbles. He was fast AF on his feet.

James was awsome and it would seem that James could just be too slick for Marciano.

But Marciano was just sooo strong.

With Bill Miller(RIP) not in his corner,doe Bill would have something in his memory of how to deal with great power against you.

I see James getting beat on like a heavy bag as he lays on the ropes. James would land his shots but the Marciano walks right through them. James, seeing that laying on the ropes is not good for health will get on his bike. But the injury from football will not allow his ankle to carry around that kind of weight like it used to. Marciano catches up to him and ****s him out as he is forced against the ropes for the remainder of the bout. James was one solid chinned mfer doe (I think that the main part of a good chin is actually in the eyes). I see the ref stopping it around the 8th round simply because of James' immobility.....................Rockin'

You do not take in to account that James could not move as a Heavyweight. Tell me what sport James was in that injured him.
