You implied for me to exspose you more you do know that don't you?, because most fans who understand the sport and who have watched boxing who understand advances has common sense to know from watching boxers learn and advance to be able to beat or hang with the competition as it gets better, common sense should've told you a lhw ton was gonna be more advanced with more matches he had you're very slow and a idiot like I said
Fans and fight watchers, now they truly know the sport! .............Rockin'

Please don't mistake me; he was an excellent, excellent fighter; particularly under 175, of the same ilk as, say, Montell Griffin, Mike McCallum, Dave Tiberi, etc. Granted, his defensive acumen, speed and durability allowed him to make just a little noise at heavyweight between 2003 - 2008 late in his usefulness; but Holyfield had nothing in their encounter, and he was never much of a threat even during what was (barely) arguably THE lowest period in Heavyweight history...ever.

Incidently; some years back I co-managed a pretty good guy from Malawi, east Africa named Drake "Nightmare" Thadzi, then living in Shediac, NB, the "lobster capital of the world". We moved him to the famed Petronelli gym in Brockton, MA (irony?), and took a fight with then 28 year old Toney in May 97' for the WBO lightheavyweight strap. The vacant title was on the line for our guy only, as lazy James came in over the 175 lb limit.

But Toney was smack dab prime time, and my boy beat the brakes off him.
      Easily.
      So.....there's that.
That Toney wouldn't fold like hot laundry against Marciano smaks of casual knowledge.
I don't know that James would have folded like hot laundry against anybody. But if he ever would Marciano is the exact type of fighter that could do that.

I can post the other prime matches Rock had and all will look novice-like compared just like they did with the 14th match, the era was just horrible even compared to amateurs in the 70s, oh but you said Rock would last the distance or win, based off of what highlights of best moments?, yet my video which is as much of a full match that exists shows every movement and clearly shows they made alot of mistakes and tech was novice like

Show proof rock and his era weren't the way I posted prove they were as advanced you said rock would last or could win show he had the tech to do that, show it in full matches

Sheet, I fought amateur and pro out of the same stable as one of the subjects of this thread.

We even had the same trainer for a short time, the Leprechaun.

Where did I ever say that Rockys era was more advanced? I never have stated that, and quit putting words in my mouth.

I refuse to watch hours of video in search of a 3 or 4 second clip to anchor any argument against a no fight know nothin'..

                    That's what fight fans do.

                    You go fan!!!

What I learned I learned in the gyms of Detroit from some great trainers and some tough assed fighters.............Rockin'
