Sergio Martinez vs John Mugabi

I didn't even realize when quoting SCTrojan that he actually said Martinez has more power than Mugabi.

We are all entitled to our opinions...even when they're ABSURD. I think Martinez is a better fighter than Mugabi, but anyone who wants to (pretends) think Martinez could punch harder than Mugabi is a buffoon.

Mugabi didn't knock anybody out or even drop anybody worth knowing for that matter
Sure he was crushing cans but when he stepped up his power was wasn't to be found.

Martinez on the other hand is knocking out & dropping world class fighters with granite chins. Time after time he is stopping guys who haven't even been down before.

Call me a buffoon but I think Sergio's power is far more proven at world level.

Curtis Parker was KOd in one round by Mugabi. Parker went head-to-head with the best middleweight contenders of the early 80's and none of them stopped him.....don't even think any hurt him. Mugabi bombed him in one round.

Believe me, John Mugabi was a much bigger puncher than Martinez. Mugabi will make many historians biggest punchers list decades from now, while Martinez won't be on anyone's.

Again, Martinez is a superior fighter, but not on Mugabi's level for punching power.

Changed my opinion since then. Martinez suffers a knockdown en route to a 116-112 esque decision. Beats the Beast to the punch and is able to move off fast enough for the somewhat robotic Mugabi, who tries very hard but just can't time Martinez who in this instance is too slick.
