Good match-up. Either Mugabi wins by Late TKO after grinding Martinez down or Martinez boxes cleverly winning a close decision. If I was pressed I would say Mugabi after Sergio's trys to put to much pressure on Mugabi and gets caught and up to then it's quite a close fight but, this is a hard match-up to pick.

    Mugabi TKO 11

Martinez is very good but i think people are getting a little bit carried away with him right now. Still he is top drawer, i gotta pick The Beast in this one tho, pre Hagler the guy was a monster, if that was Sexy Sergio in there instead of Marvin i think he'd have been taking an early nap.

Besides his power the john the beast mugabi didnt have much else, people get carried away with how much of a good fight he gave hagler, at that point in his career hagler was a once a year fighter who was past his best. I think martinez wins on points

Mugabi by TKO. I won't pick a round because I think it could happen at any time. If it goes to the cards, Martinez probably wins it, barring a knockdown or any kind of deductions. Problem is, I don't see it going to the cards. Martinez has an inconsistent defense and B-level stamina. He needs to recharge sometimes and when his legs slow down, Mugabi is all over him.

Martinez wins easily. Mugabi is one of the most overrated fighters in my lifetime. If you don't believe me, then tell me who the best fighter he ever beat was. It sure wasn't anyone as good as Pavlik or Williams.

A drunk Pavlik and a shot-in-the-dark KO over Williams are good wins, but it's not like he B-hop'd Kelly. Everyone knows how to beat Pavlik. And the Williams win was exciting, but do you think it's repeatable? Not to take away from the wins, but that was a freak knockout.

Why do you feel that he couldnt do it again? He worked on that punch in preparation for the williams rematch and with the way paul leans down with his chin open i see no reason why he couldnt do something similar again, maybe not as brutal, but still hurting pwill

Haha his eyes were closed when he threw that punch. It was a shot in the dark.
