Do You Classify Joe Louis As Slow Feet, Fast Hands

Maybe not as slow as he looked. I believe it was his lack of intelligence in the ring that made Louis perhaps look slower than he was. He really was a low IQ individual as shown in his fights with Billy Conn and Joe Walcott. Outside the ring wasn't any better with all of his Tax issues.

I don't believe he was slow with his feet. If he was he would not have been able to cut off the ring as well a he did.

Nearly a shutout and one of the biggest robberies in boxing g history. Pea made Ramirez look silly.[/QUOTE]

I hate that point . . . Wiggling your azz, sticking your tongue out while jumping around, without engaging, isn't great defense. It's a clown act.

The only fighter who looked silly was Pee Wee himself.
From these comments it's pretty obvious that you never watched that fight

Funny but Billy Conn also used Uncle Mike Jacobs as his promoter and when the war came in 1942 both men were deeply in trouble with the IRS.

Do you really think it fair to call a fighter s-tupid because he got robbed by a promoter?

I suspect you'll find few who weren't robbed.

Hell, fighters are still signing with Don King today after decades of King King ripping fighters off.

Oh, I'm well aware. He thinks people can't see though it.

(Insert me spitting on the ground here.)

RESPECT --> a lost American culture. Being disrespectful is the new American way.
Since when has America been free of disrespect? You sound ridiculous.

If you can't appreciate the greatness of Pernell Whitaker because of your personal feelings about him, that speaks for itself about you. There is nothing that he did in the ring to justify that type of hate. Unless you have other issues which you clearly do.

Other than Conn none of them moved like many fighters move today. A lot of boxers do not have traditional skills of defense, so they run. And no one at all ever moved like Walcott. But the thing is Walcott was very near always in range. He never moved far. His movement usually consisted of body movement and a few steps. Then once in a while he would do his Walcott walkaway move and get entirely out of range for a few moments.

To me the tell tell sign of bullshit is that people keep insisting he had fast feet without offering a single fcking example like I have been asking for for years. I hate to have to say that. The mindless defense of heroes around here boggles.

I say people ought to bring a little evidence beyond their wagging lips if they purport to believe something controversial that others misunderstand. I have evidence--all the fights of his I have seen. Where is theirs? Oh, I am supposed to look up their evidence for them. Maybe if they showed proof I would relent or admit I was wrong. I'll tell you this, it had better be convincing evidence, not a few moments of fking around.

Joe Louis could barely handle Conn because Billy moved like a fighter should against Louis. No other fighter did that. There is not a single person here other than known consensus halfwits who figure Louis would beat Ali. Louis had to wait for Conn to get tired. That is all he could do against a good runner, stand there and wait. Ali would actually be gesturing for the ref to stop the slaughter, which eventually would. Louis would be an easy mark for Ali. He would not even be much of a challenge with those lead feet on him. Liston had faster feet, At least he was able to chase Ali.

It was not Conn or Walcott who moved very well. Louis struggled vs merely good movers or looked very bad / lost vs Pastor, Schemling, and Godoy. The first Godoy fight...well score it for yourself. Louis' personal professional ref, Art Donovan made sure he did not lose that one.

I think you can learn well enough if I provide evedience you seek.
