i agree. i recall this and i tell everyone this over the years till they are sick of me. it's about carl lewis and ben johnston and the olympics.
Ben johnston was an above average sprinter but not a great and carl lewis won the 100 mgold in los angeles. After that ben johnston started improving so drastically and winning his races.
Asked what he thought of johnston lewis just said "he's an average sprinter."
coming into the seoul olympics johnston was getting better and better but most watching who knew a bit about these things was convinced he was on steroids. He won the 100m and broke the world record and lewis if you watch congratulated him which must have

really pissed him off so much as they all knew he cheated but could say nothing. Then while the olympics was still on johnston was caught.
That much most of us know and lewis was given gold after the olympics and he seemed so pleased that the world now knew for sure that johnston was a drugs cheat.
About 6 months later i was a paper boy in the morning and the headlines were "lewis caught as a drugs cheat" and I thought "no please don't be true" as I idolised lewis at that time being about 13.
Everyone was saying "arh for christs sake they are all drugs cheats" and people became very wearied about athletics in general.
It turned out lewis had just taken a cold remedy with a completely innocent ingredient that while banned was never considered to really be of much help to a sprinter.
But the damage was done by the media as mud sticks and the whole sport was really in the dumps.
You may remember flo jo also blew away the competition in her 100m at the seoul olympics and nearly everyone thought her sudden huge improvements were also due to steroids.
See me going on a bit here but the only point i was illustrating was that the lie travels twice around the world while the truth is still putting their shoes on. Lewis's partner bought him a cold remedy out of season and the results were anounced later out of season. But the press and the media made him look guilty like johnston whose eyes were bulging out with red capilleries and was taking a strong anabolic steroid.
I just relay this story to say how misinformation can really pile on and mud sticks,
some drugs and other peds can vary in what they can do by a huge long way. but all we hear is "oh they are a drug's cheat, full stop."

Really enjoyed that post! I hear you... Most people do not know that because of drug testing athletes are often denied common medicines for healing... Like cold remedies, and a lot of cremes have steroidal preparations in them. I always felt that this is a little unfair.

I explained that VADA lists which fights had full testing, and you can see that Canelo-Charlo is not on there
You came back with a link that says Canelo-Ryder had testing. Which was a completely different fight

So we're now at the point where you try and prove that Canelo-Charlo had full testing. Which is the same point we were at several pages back, several days ago. You'll notice even the other Canelo fans have accepted that fight did not have full VADA testing.

It is part of the problem, but the whole problem has historically always been at issue, and has always played out in this violent manner.

I din't think national borders is any longer an answer (the international economy will dictate that.) We, in the next 100 years, will globalize, and the cultural ********ic West will have to educate and triumph, politically uplifting the entire planet.

cheers willie. i think what jordan peterson said is the only way and that is to pour as much technology and infrastructure in poor continents like africa and south america. If the standard of life is greatly improved in africa then millions will stay back as they then enjoy their lives there and don't feel the need to migrate north due to extreme poverty.
China is pouring billions or even trillions in infrastructure and roads etc into africa and other poor countries but the cost these countries pay is to have china take all of their natural resources.
I saw trump say a few years ago that while the usa is at war in afganistan and losing american lives every day did we know that it is china who are taking all the afgan minerals and other natural resources under the radar.
But if we get back to today's pressing problems I think that this woke stuff of us in the usa, australia, uk and canada etc we are made to feel guilty over our past. No stop that. We should be proud as that is what made us great countries. It is like black history month brags about all the positive aspects of black history but never discusses the african civil wars and genocides carried out over the last few hundred years by black people on other black people.
Also, if we are going down that road why don't we have asian history month etc.
I am so proud to be british but the way we are being taken for mugs and our government doing nothing to stop what is in essence an invasion. That is why i belong to the reform party and feel that if islam keeps increasing in the uk then just like sweden and germany we will have to get used to suicide bombings, gang warfare and all the other 3rd world issues that we see now in sweden which is the most dangerous country in europe now according to many studies and women are too frightened to go out at night.
We see the ******s taking to the streets about Israel but they never raised a voice about the yemen war killing ******s or the many other arenas or war in the world. It is just hatred of ***s that motivates them and I am sick of it. Countries like britain and usa and australia have moved forward millimetre by millimetre towards a better fairer country for all of us and we don't want to live in a caliphate and lose out heritage and customs. I could go on for weeks but you get where I am coming from.
