Ward’s entire career is comparable to Floyd’s career at 130-135, yes I agree with that.

If I’m not mistaken this thread is comparing their whole careers?

If the comparison is their careers at 168-175 and 130-135 then I agree.

Not me, I find you amusing...

OK! that is all I said... Yes this thread, but, read the post responding to your point initially, I agreed with you that "it was a good comparison" at their best weight."

Don't even have to make any points about him, just say you like him and he'll come around to argue with you
Ohhh you’re done with me? Whatever will I do??!!

You’re a clown mate. This is discussion board, people disagree on stuff, that is the point of this place I don’t know if you’re aware.

I debate with Toney fans on here all the time, great posters who make great points, to which we have great discussions and I may change the their mind on certain things and they may change my mind on certain things. So your point is nonsense.

The difference between them and people like you is they have the capacity that defend their point. And aren’t sensitive little souls who seem to have a crying fit because I challenged your point to which you couldn’t defend.

Go back to clown school, I don’t think this Boxing thing is for you.

        Ok…..

        So what is your issue?

We agree their careers are comparable at 130-135 and 168-175 respectively.

We agree as a whole they aren’t comparable and Floyd is levels above? Or no?

Your command of the English language isn’t very good that’s why you always seem to fail in these back and forths.

I already said that in the first post so why are you acting like it’s your time of the month?

If your thread is to make the point that Floyd’s first 5 years as a Professional are the same level of Ward’s entire career then there’s no disagreement but again your ability to put points across aren’t very good so it’s difficult to even know what your point or topic of thread is even about.

Try it sometime. "I like James Toney" or "he really wasn't that bad" lol.

Why don’t you try replying to my post instead of being a coward?

I have literally stated numerous times that Toney was an elite fighter and HOF caliber fighter so what are you talking about? He’s far from a “bad” fighter and have ever once even suggested that he was. So you can stop with the pathetic hyperbole.

Like I said, I have debated with Toney fans on here numerous times who unlike you are willing to have an actual discussion and have the mental capacity to have an intelligent conversation. They’ve taught me things and I’ve taught them things. That is the beauty of dialogue.

You on the other hand are a joke. You can’t have a dialogue because when challenged you can’t defend your point because you’re clueless on the topic. Which is fine, it’s happened to us all in life on the journey of knowledge on any topic but a man would try and learn something instead of crying about it like a petulant child, as you are here.

Relax. I went through a great effort to not make valued judgements when I started the thread. I also wanted people to weigh in before I offered my own thoughts. You posted your observations and mentioned something I was going to mention: That Floyd had a weight he was truly outstanding at, as did Ward. I then said "this is a good means for comparison." I was going to compare both men at their "sweet spots."

No, I do not necessarily believe we can just equate Floyd's career best weight with Ward's entire career, I do believe we can compare both men at their best fighting weight. I do believe if we look at both men's subsequent career, Floyd comes out ahead, but Ward did fight some great fighters after his prime weight as well as Floyd, Dawson, Kovalev... But this does not compare to Canelo, De La Hoya, Cotto etc IMO. So, to be crystal clear here: We can give Ward some measure of comparison subsequent to his best weight, but Floyd clearly fought more big names subsequent.

If you want to compare both men after their career best weights we have to look more carefully at the particular fights, if people want to do that have at it, it does not interest me.

The reason you are irate, I suspect, is you misunderstood that I was responding to a post you made... that and your insistence that this is not a valid comparison. You are entitled to that opinion, but if you post something, expect a response. You actually post a lot of good material , my response to your post was not to disagree with you on the point you were making... You made a point I was going to make... Its as simple as that.

Neither one of those were robberies. But around here close or competitive fights are considered robberies by many.

                      Floyd's an ATG & Andre Ward's a HOF.

I think that's the best way to describe

Floyd's indisputably in virtually everybody's top 25 fighters who ever lived.

Andre Ward would in the top 100 or so.
