Floyd was an underdog against Diego Corrales so it’s the same difference and Corrales was held in way higher regard than anyone Ward fought except maybe Carl Froch was also on the P4P list like Corrales at the time (going from memory)

Floyd’s opposition level is on a different stratosphere. Floyd beat 7 fighters on the P4P list, Ward just 1. Floyd beat ten fighters ranked #1 in the division, Ward fought 1 in Kovalev.

    It’s not even remotely close.

Ward was dropped heavily by a journeyman, Floyd never dropped.

Floyd won 13 world titles in 5 weight classes, Ward won less than 5 across 2.
You wanted a comparison for each guy at their best weight... I agreed that from a whole career perspective Floyd did more, so then you reaffirm that Ward was an underdog, as I said, then you rightly point out that Corrales was a similar standard to Froch... So you agree with me and then go back to the same tune, you see why people get irrate arguing with you?

Were talking about a specific comparison, and you have not contradicted my point... you actually agreed, thank you! It is irrelevant that one guy was dropped, or that another guy won more rounds... I already conceded that the total career shows Floyd had more to show.

Lol... With Dan? Make your point then disengage, he will never concede a point and he will ridicule those who do not agree. He just restated what I said, and STILL had to try to "win" by bringing in stuff that was not germaine to the point. I am actually amused

Me: "At their prime weights both men fought equal competition, give, or take..."
Dan: "Well Corrales was on the level, give, or take, of FRoch... So no! and you know why? because at higher weights Floyd fought more/better guys!"

Me: "Ward was an underdog for the tourney"
Dan: "He was an underdog to (One of the guys I forget which one) so No! he was not an underdog!"

No one gets irate that has half a brain cell. So sadly you do get irate often.

Ward’s entire career is comparable to Floyd’s career at 130-135, yes I agree with that.

If I’m not mistaken this thread is comparing their whole careers?

If the comparison is their careers at 168-175 and 130-135 then I agree.

Ok and what is your issue with anything that was said above?

Are you lot aware that this is a discussion board? You’re aware the literal point of this place is to discuss points back and forth?

Ok and Corrales was prime, Castillo was prime, Hatton as prime, Canelo was prime and so on.

All of the above at the very least on their level of “prime” fighters Ward fought.

            So, your point is what?

Why don’t you actually try and defend your point instead of your pathetic indirect approach?

I was done with him when you disagreed with him on another thread a while back and proved him wrong, then I agreed with you, yet he felt the need to continue only arguing with me. All you gotta do is say you like James Toney to get him to come back around. But, unlike Candyman, you only have to say it once. Don't even have to make any points about him, just say you like him and he'll come around to argue with you

That first fight with Maidana and Castillo.
