    - - Indeed, Wart quite noteworthy as the dirtiest hometown fighter of his International era.

But in Europe fighters like Hatton and Calzighe were managed by their dads, both of whom tried really hard to keep them undefeated, including controlling whom they fought. With Hatton I think this destroyed him... made him into a humping, safety first shell of the man who beat Zoo so incredibly. With Calzighe it was done on a more subtle level. But its the same mentality. God forbid a fighter loses... I look at Calzighe where this was so obvious and fighters like Andre Ward, who managed to go undefeated and fought them all... and IMO there is a difference.
Ya Ward is so much better than him in the historical sense

Arguably his Imelda Marcos shoe collection trumps anything he ever did in the Ring, his true calling.

At least he fought top fighters consistently unlike Calzaghe who was hiding in England being protected by Warren

As soon as Super Joe escaped the onerous contract clutches of Warren, it was Coming To America.

You can read all about it. Yeah, discount Joe because he has no Imelda Marcos shoe collection, but where it counts in boxing, Wart held no undefeated unified Record 168/175 titles he accomplished on foreign soil.

I don't care about the foreign soil. American fighters have no reason to go to the UK for the most part. Wards resume is way better than Calzaghe

Froch was more popular and a better fighter than many of the fighters Calzaghe chose to fight instead. Especially in Great Britain.

It's not even close. How he or anyone for that matter can't see that is beyond comprehension.

                    Incredibly poor resume.

A grand total of 3 fighters beaten who were ranked in the Top 5 of the division being fought in.
Thank you. He was a WBO guy whipping or outclassing the likes of Juan Carlo Gimenez, Branko Sobot, Charles Brewer, and Peter Manfredo, among a host of others. He did well with Jeff Lacy and the talented and proven, undefeated Mikkel Kessler, but RJJ was a fraction of his former self and Hopkins, although ancient, arguably defeated him. I always felt they rammed Calzaghe's "greatness" down our throats.

Not really because he was the WBC mandatory and Calzaghe vacated instead.
