When posters refer to fighters who are top 10 of their era as chinny old men and Junk....it begs questions about that poster's worth to a conversation. And I think you are way better than that. Seriously. You can not get into boxing's top 1% being junk. You don't need me to tell you that Sir.

I think that there are no all-time great fighters today because guys don't fight high competition quite enough.

You can make the argument that Fury can beat anybody in history based on his size and skill, fine.

But his resume doesn't jibe with making him a top 5 HW of all-time

Beating Deontay Wilder 2 times & a blown up cruiser in Usyk doesn't make you a top 5 HW of all-time.

Now, if he just mowed everybody down in 2 rounds the way Mike Tyson used to, then you, you might have a point, but that's not what it is.

Usyk strugged with Derek Chisora, FFS.

Anthony Joshua lost to Andy Ruiz & then fought scared in the rematch.

Beating Fury doesn't put him ahead of guys who had long reigns as champion or were undisputed in a world with only 1 champion.

They both need long reigns and to prove their worth before we put them in that class.

I'm not the biggest Klitschko guy, but at least he was champ for 10 years and defended the belt 20 times before people put him up there.

What HOF fighter has he fought? What legend? What fighter that will be a top 20 all time heavyweight? Maybe he will, but time isn't on his side and AJ isn't going to give him those accolades.

Maybe that is because the World boxing hall of fame didn't open until 1980. I'm sure there were SEVERAL years of backlogged fighters to induct. That was 43 years ago now, they're probably caught up. The International boxing hall of fame didn't open until 1990. It really no wonder, if you understand simple arithmetic, why no boxers Ali or fought had been inducted up until that point.

And the point still stands.stank doesnt look to have any HOF competition on the horizon. Maybe that changes. But at 37 the clock is ticking, and Holfields comp is just simply better than Usyks comp at the present time.

How do we define all-time great?

All-time great P4P or just HW?

Top 100 P4P all-time?

Yeah, maybe.

Top 20 HW?

Maybe.

Lots of dudes had long reigns as champions or made 9, 10 defenses as champions or beat a ton of HOFs before being put in that realm.

Usyk has never beat a HOF, yet

Fury's beat 1, maybe 2, if Wilder gets in (because everybody who's ever defended the HW title 9 times is in)

Both need a definitive reign.

Fury's closer than Usyk right now to being an all-time HW. If he wins, he can say he beat the best HWs of his generation (outside of Joshua, who got smoked 2x by Usyk).

I sure think so. There are a few ways to become great. What Usyk would have done there is one of those.
