:boxing: Tonights fight, cemented the fact that Miguel Cotto is at the top of the elite weight class in boxing, 147 pounds. Miguel dismantled "El Indio" inside five brutal and decisive rounds. We didn't really know how good Quintana was until tonight; He proved his worth in defeating and puttin' a whoopin' on the so called Punisher, Paul Williams. And with Williams beating Marg and Marg making Kermit cry, Miguel sits happy on top of the 147 pound wieght class. And it tells us a little something about how good Shane is at this stage of his career. Floyd is irrellevent at this point. He's chosen not to get involved with the best in the division; by avoiding danger I guess he keeps his "P4P" claim, at least that's how everyone else seems to see it. I don't, Floyd's out of the picture, Miguel is the man to beat at 147.but if you ask me cintron would have kod paul williams and id bet any amount of money on that.:boxing:

Easy, I'm asking if you guys lost respect for Williams or gained some for Quintana.. IMO, I'd say I can't lose respect for a guy I never respected ... But, Quintana certainly gained my respect.
williams still has my respect and im boricua from puerto rico by way of ny..but if you know boxing like i do ..look at the margarito fight and the quintana fight williams has one style of boxing and it was exposed in the quintana fight..he thought his height and speed was enough.noooooo wayyy..boxers can study you and come up with a plan like quintana..did ..look at margarito who stood in fron of williams taking blows and trying to rally but had no movement or boxing skills just plain old brawl..quintana came in with a lot of movement and counter punch timeing and turned paul the punisher in to paul the punished:boxing: and they said paul can :boxing: beat cotto ..there crazy for saying that.cotto the most complete fighter he can turn southpaw he has power and hes a complete fighter with over 250 ameature fights ..doo the math..

..Quintana JUST won the title so even now at this point you have to give the spot to the longer running champion, Kermit holds the belt and defended it already despite any back lash but Quintana JUST won and was an under dog so even after victory you can't just jump him up there behind Floyd, he's certainly number 4 IMO but you DO have to consider Cintron here as a longer reigning champion. Floyd is one of my favorite fighters, I'm just sick of his business shit... Just fight Cotto and get over with it, win lose or draw, it's no shame losing to a top welterweight in Cotto, whos in his prime.
