Very good question. At this point, I would have to say 1. Floyd Mayweather Jr. 2. Miguel Cotto 3. Carlos Quintana or Shane Mosley

bottom line, and you will just have to understand this, is that as much as we bash Floyd for his fight choices (me included) and rally against his choices we still have to remember he is the best fighter in that division skill wise, his defense is amazing, his speed and displays of good Boxing can pause you for a second, dude could fight and he deserves at least number 2, Cotto been holding it down but Floyd is a better overall Boxer and he is tightly holding that spot. believe you me homie Floyd is going to fight one of the other Welterweights once they all unify their belts and bring a unification bout together, he ain't stupid but he trying to get the most $$$ out of it so I gotta respect it as much as I disagree, he's feeding his family.. Crillz QUINTANA hasnt proven himself to me neither and im from puerto rico by way of ny..but your right he has a lot to prove ..unlike cotto who has fought top competition and undefeated fighter and managed to beat them all and everybody knows cintron has emanuel at his side and has in my min more power than any welterweight out their if he lands hes just not marketed right.im not taking anything from mayweather ..hes a good fighter great boxer..but he talks way to much for a boxer who hasnt fought any one inmy mind that really brawls and boxes and hits hard.them oscar fights are fixed ..dont be fooled ..ive bin watching boxing for 20 years i know.quintana had a plan and margarito didnt that why margarito lost to williams he had no movement he stood right in front of williams and tried to brawl and lost..quintana saw that and came in with movement and counter ..very smart fight .its not about the hype by everyone that that boxers the best and can beat him or him ..its about who come in with the better plan on the paticular night of the fight..just look at quintana and williams.. I feel you and I disagree with some of the choices that Floyd has made but then again this is the business of the sport, it still remains certain that he is the biggest name and undefeated, just came off history's biggest selling fight to go on a knock out the champion, the top man in the JWW division for his next fight is pretty good in my book, I don't necessarily appreciate the fact that it wasn't against a well deserved opponent in his own division that got a shot I DO appreciate who he was fighting, it made for a great fight and made both of them that much more money, they playing the game and milking all the money possible but Floyd is still VERY young and once these guys all come up with 1 unifying showdown opponent regardless who it is it will be Floyd that takes the fight, and lets be real here.. Margarito/Cintron/Quintana/Mosley are really all tied for 3. It's difficult to know with certainty who's best of the bunch. By virtue of who beat who, Quintana would be tops in the group or atleast tied with Mosley but "who beats who" isn't a perfect science.

I see a lot of Margarita Groupies here posting unreal shit. :nono: :nono: :nono: But last time I check..., 1) Tony doesn't have a belt on his waist at the moment. 2) Mosley and Judah have better fights and resume. 3) Paul Williams convincingly beated him. 4) He survived Clottey due to injury. 5) Quintana is arguably better position right now. 6) He could not beat SANTOS in 2 CHANCES HE HAD. 7) There is another WW Mexican better than him named Oscar. Judah losing to the bum with acromegaly is a big asterisk on his record. I like Judah a lot but his lack of discipline and lack of respect for other fighters have taken him out of the elite status. He understimate Cotto and has mentally bronken during a fight. Too bad, judah don't have a better attitude to go along his undeniable skills. Yea I feel you, is Calderon respected in PR? That guy is a boxing animal, I actually think he's the best "boxer" in the game right now, its just unfortunate that he weights 2 damn pounds I live in PR, IronBoy is very well respected.
