I never watched the fight but this reminds me of the fight with Hatton.....
I was furious with the ref in this fight, screaming at the tele,I like Mayweather but as a Brit I was wanting Hatton to win that fight and all floyd did was hug Hatton every time he moved in to work on the inside, and the ref was terrible.
It was joe Cortez that day iirc.
Mayweather vs Khan will be a hug fest.
It should me called Mayweather Vs Khan "The Hug"
I don't think it would be,khan likes to work on the outside like mayweather and relies on his speed and movement.
Maidana on the other hand is ultimately an inside fighter,a bit like Hatton etc......moving in to load up on the left hook,it would make for a good fight.
its a never ending arguement and if it ever does happen people will still come up with excuses.
both fighters have there pros and cons but manny will be difficult to beat,he has came on leaps and bounds since the jmm fights and you can never use previous fights as examples.....reason being fights like hatton, oscar etc.manny destroyed them more convincingly than floyd did.you can't use these as examples because fighters get better and train for there next opponent.
he also took some amount of body shots and kept coming......so well done to clottey for that.his high guard was superb, and becuase he wasn't willing to commit, manny didn't really have a chance to catch him with any real hard head shots, just the occasional hook to the side of the head.....rnd the back of the guard.
clottey did really well with his high guard but manny attacked his body at will and hit him with plenty body shots.....easily.he was just too fast and if clottey tried to open up and take risks he would have been badly hurt.
i agree with that also, towards the latter rounds in the hatton fight he was throwing superb combo's whilst hatton couldn't do anything.you could see that mayweather was brawling with him back, and winning.
floyd isnt the prob its pac. and after getting hit at will by a no volume puncher like clottey and having most of his punches blocked...im damn sure roach isnt going to put pac in the ring with floyd
wtf???
the only reason pac got hit with anything was because he was trying to get clottey to try new things instead of standing there with a silly ****ing close guard.nearly every time clottey tried to get manny, manny managed to counter and catch clottey.imho it was a mismatch, clottey struggled and manny made him look slow....really slow.
Are you doing to bring boxrec and wikipedia to boxingscene?
why does that matter?
you should add that Morales fought pacquiao who was later revealed to be a steroid user.
not been proven at all

i don't think manny would come across as a doormat if he accepted floyds way of doing things.
i think he should go ahead with it and do what we all know he will do.

Posibbly.
Some big MMA trainer right now, I forgot his name said he belived Bruce Lee had the ability to learn damn fast and could have abeen a great fighter in the UFC.
Wish I remember his name but he's a famous MMA guy and use to fight aswell.
Bass or something
As for boxing, he was physically fast and looks strong. Whether he can take a punch and learn boxing and adjust to not using his feet, that's another story.
bas rutten!!!!!
there is no reason why he couldn't have been.he was super fitstrong and very very fast.
im really looking forward to this fight, its going to be one of the best fights of all time.so much hype!
im a pacquiao fan myself but you can't call it,just need to wait and see.anything can happen!

i honestly don't think any heavyweight before or since tyson had faster punching capabilities than him when he was at his very best.i also think he was faster than lighter boxers aswell.
wull
the manny fight wasn't a case of one clean shot and that was that.he was down twice in the first round and there was no way back for him.hatton cuts too easily aswell.......
i would like to see him fight again, but his biggest mistake was leaving his trainer graham.
