first of all, im not hating on the fight. im glad its happening, i just wish it would of happen earlier. hope the fight does well (ppv #s wise).
I just dont see how people will think this fight will be competitive. Mosley got outboxed by cotto and mayorga. And floyd is a better boxer than both of them and wont come forward like them. So mosley only has a punchers chance imho.

To answer your questions -
Mosley got outboxed by cotto - Aside from Cotto's last three or four performances - in which he took much punishment cummalitively, when he fought Mosely, Cotto's had an awesome ability to out-box a boxer. One could definitely argue Cotto was the man to beat in the WW division. A person that at one point was the guy to face mayweather at that time. SOOOO, Mosely clearly was just out-boxed by a great fighter despite the "closeness" of the match. Mosely has a great ability to box anyone, I strongly believe he is a great student as LONG as the trainer is able to give good coherent technical game plan during the fight.
....and mayorga - I very much agree that this fight was much more difficult than what it should have been for Mosely's caliber. I think Mosely was caught off guard by Mayorga's jab. Yes! Mayorga actually box a bit during that fight!!! Who would've thought! Again, I think he underestimated Mayorga, and thought it was an easy fight.
..... floyd is a better boxer than both of them and wont come forward like them. - True, though it's unfair to generalize; my question is, has Floyd ever fight a guy moving forward like Mosely before? I think of one person and that I can think of that gave Floyd trouble - castillo, I think of De La Hoya for some portion of the first couple rounds of the fight. I think Floyd does have trouble with a good jab, and "shells up" when the pressure is on.
...So mosley only has a punchers chance - Well, I guess so, but Mosely has a great ability to apply pressure, "smart" pressure if Brother Nazim gives him the direction that Mosely needs! Mosely made many mistakes in his fights sometimes by his father's direction when he was trained.
Mosley has a good chin, good power and does not crack under pressure. Floyd is no pressure fighter, and has no power so Shane's chin will not be remotely bothered. The only thing Floyd can do is frustrate Shane and beat him to the punch by his good timing and accurate pot shots.
A punchers chance...doesnt mean much aginst a guy you cant hit and who has a good chin.
It's not impossible to hit Floyd. The punch stats never say "0" on the opposing opponents punch stats. Zab, Oscar, Corley, Castillo, even JMM at WW landed punches on him. It comes down to consistency and Floyd's ring smarts gets him by which makes him one of this era's greats.
If Mosley lands some solid blows, Floyd's gonna feel it.
Styles make fights. Mayorga and Cotto are both offensive minded first, defense 2nd. Floyd definitely has the ability to outbox Shane for 12 rounds, but Cotto did it by being aggressive and beating Mosley to the punch for a good amount of the fight (which I think Floyd can only do 1 of the 2).
The one thing about Shane though is he can still turn it up towards the end of the fight where most of the time Floyd is coasting for the win.
I still think Floyd will pull out the win, but if he were to lose I wouldn't be overly surprised either.
Good Post homey
Mosley is fast, powerful, durable, and is the bigger guy. Let's face it, he has the speed to land, the power to hurt him, and has the strength and chin to come to Floyd without much worry. JMM landed some right hands on Floyd, so I'm sure Mosley will manage to land something, and who has Floyd fought with the sort of power Shane has?
The only problem will be Mosley looping his shots as he sometimes does, which will give Floyd longer to react. I'm picking Mayweather UD, but to say Mosley has no chance is a bit crazy...

god damn! stop complaining!
you'd think flomos would at least be happy to see floyd back inside the ring. damn!

Pac-Mosley is a 50-50 fight.
Shane is strong fast and naturally bigger than Floyd.
He also has a great chin.
I would favor him over any other WW except Floyd and Pac.
He is a legitimate challenge.
