All the nonsense and politics aside, Pulev is the legitimate #1 contender for the world title and he deserves his chance. Whether or not he can be competitive is another matter, Wladimir being so far superior to the rest of the division.
I applaud both for taking a risky fight like this. Unfortunately, most fighters in the top ten fight bums while waiting for a so-called title fight. Never been very impressed with Parker though. I like Whyte to win.
Joshua is something of a front runner. As long as he is controlling a fight, he's great. When things go a bit sour, he mentally doesn't always adjust. I know he recovered from being hurt by Whyte and Klitschko, but against Ruiz he folded mentally. Fury is by far the mentally tougher of the two.
Eusebio Pedroza being omitted is absurd. I believe he would have beaten Sanchez. That's why Sanchez always avoided him. Your list is a bit heavy towards more recent guys. Naseem Hamed was a hard puncher, but not really a great champion. Beat Johnson and Kelley, but was exposed when he stepped up in class to face Barrera.
Canada is pretty lame considering the population and how popular boxing is there. There are good fighters based there, but rarely is there an elite native Canadian.
Plant is tough, but woefully inexperienced compared to Canelo. Canelo will school Plant before stopping him. Wish Canelo would hurry up and clean up Plant and Benavidez and move up. The light heavyweights are his only real challenge.
Good win for Rodriguez, finally stepping up a bit in class. Butler is a B level guy. Much tougher challenges await before we'll know if he's the real deal. Liborio Solis would be a good barometer.
Great news. The two best in the division fighting each other. What a novel concept. Lol. The biggest strawweight fight since Ricardo Lopez-Rosendo Alvarez II.
Santa Cruz is such a coward and hype job that I'll believe he has the guts to face Rigo only when they are actually in the ring. And I'm not holding my breath.
Give me a break. Hell, I never heard of him before this fight was announced. And I am a hardcore fan that follows boxing at every weight and all over the world. Picked to make Miller look good.
Hernandez needs better opposition than this before deserving to fight Berchelt. I realize that he is coming back from being shot, but at some point needs to fight a true contender.
Eubank is the superior talent and full of confidence. That's a tough combination to beat. Eubank stops Groves, beats Callum Smith as well and then will be ducked by that coward Ramirez. Benavidez will probably have the guts to face him. That will be a great fight.
