Manny Pacquiao's latest disparaging comments about gays have cost him a contract with Nike.
It may not be the only endorsement Pacquiao loses, even as he and promoter Bob Arum scramble to contain the damage done by a television interview in the Philippines in which the boxer said gay people "are worse than animals."

It's not that difficult..
What was Manny thinking ???
Let me see ...... Follow God, who I believe in and serve.... Who came into the world as Christ sacrificing himself for the sins of the whole of all humanity..
OR
Follow the Gay agenda filled with people who I believe God loves as much as he does me. (We are all equal.) But are being misled by Fallen Angels who pervert everything they possibly can..
I think I'll go with Jesus here !!!
( I think Manny and others who confuse their hate for the Devil (And his agenda to destroy all of God's creation. ) With the people who are deceived by the temptations of Satan...)
Manny in retrospect....
People really should think more clearly before they react.... We all have our struggles, but we're on the same team.. Confusion divides, who's best interests does that serve ?
In a democracy people are entitled to their own opinions. Pacman don't like homsexuals, others do, so what?
You clearly dont understand what free speech means.
This is serious business. Uncle Bob is making evasive maneuvers. Manny Pacquiao just stepped on a land mine. The peanut gallery commenting on the internet has no clue how much damage this is going to cause.
Why ?
Who cares what a 90yo boxing promoter thinks about gay rights ?

Why is it important for a boxing promoter to comment on sexual matters ?
Would it have been more appropriate for Arum to reply.....
..... " no idea, I am a boxing promoter, I don't have time to consider topics like that..... go ask a councilor ".
How is it considered even slightly appropriate for a boxing insider to even have a viewpoint when it comes to sexual matters, let alone comment publicly?
I don't get that at all.
Especially considering the fact that Arum is Manny's current promoter.
Arum could have stayed out of it, but he chose to dump on Pac, wtf ?
It's either Arum is selling PPV to gay ppl or his *** himself. This old man is something. he will never get enough of moneyArum is most certainly grabbing his wallet with this situation. the mans love is money. Manny is expendable to him.

People are entitled to their opinions but are not immune to criticism for the opinions they express. That's part of democracy too.
Funny that Arum once used Pacquiao to help Harry Reid for his re-election bid in the US Senate years ago. Well, Mr Bob now knows he can't use him to help Democrats win elections. Truth is, all countries, except the US, have no clear political leanings. They can be liberals or conservative. The US is the most politically polarized country on earth. And Mr Pacquiao, like many from other countries, have no idea what's going on in the US political arena. You can be loved and hated equally, 50/50, if you hold one controversial view.

He'll be fine. If Arum was serious about this anti-stance with Pac, he would immediately drop him. But the $ Pac brings in, and can potentially bring in if he fights again after Bradley, keeps Arum away from dropping Pac. Arum isn't Nike, who nets a couple billion dollars a year, with or without Pacquiao. Now if we are talking about LeBron James saying anti-gay comments, a public apology will have Nike like "Okay, okay, we'll keep you". Cause the money James brings in for Nike is pretty significant. Lol it's all business and how it will cost them to keep or drop a controversial player. For Arum, that would be a large chunk of his yearly income if he dropped Pac.
Jump ship! Arum being a smart cookie to not backup Pac's down syndrome mouth diarrhea. He still has a company to run and doesn't wanna get this sh*t all over his other fighters that's all.
Can't wait to see what Freddie Roach, Teddy Atlas and Timothy Bradley have to say! How will Jim Lampley and Max Kellerman try to clean this up for Manny? What will HBO do?
