i thought casa won the fight. i honestly couldnt see it as less than a draw or a slim win for casa. i was shocked when they said that castillo won. it was a boring fight but imo it calls for a rematch. i could be biased because casa is one of my fav fighters though

Of course he will but you assume he fights like that all the time. I saw his two fights prior to DLH and he was on his toes for the majority of both fights. It's hard to argue Sturm with people who have only seen him fight once. I don't blame you either...his fights are very hard to come by.

legal troubles are keeping him off the ring but that doesnt matter, he beat chico, manfredy, castillo and he got a cinvincing wins (except castillo I) is the way he beats these guys, its rare for him to loose a round, lets not forget he started at super featherweight, he could of easily been the undisputed champ and get fights with morales, mab, pacman and beat them IMO.

I was told the fight would be part of a live online broadcast but I think they decided to KO that idea. It'll be up for download a few hours after the fight on boxingtorrents for those of you who have DSL or Cable. Sturm has become on of the most popular fighters in Europe and shouldn't be overlooked by anyone including Tito.
Trinidad is nothing special, a dancing puerto rican, big deal. When the going gets tough he folds like construction paper, via Hopkins, and end rounds of Oscar DLH. Sturm is a true warrior and just might be the reason Trinidad stays in retirement.

I was wondering the same myself...He chatted with us at boxingtalk and made it sound like a fight with Tito was a done deal. Maybe Tito is looking for an easy way out but he picked the wrong man this time. I just checked out boxrec.com and saw Sturm is scheduled to face Tito on March 12th but doesn't reveal the location...maybe Puerto Rico ;)
If boxing would be about what people deserve he'd still be champion and sceduled to fight Hopkins for the unification of the belts.

I finally got a download going on the Sturm-Cherifi fight so I'll try to upload it to the full fight section before tomorrow morning. Sturm is the best middleweight in the world outside Hopkins IMO.
I believe you know nothing about Trinidad. When has he folded? When has he ducked anyone or looked afraid? Hopkins beat him but he was a warrior until the end. The latter rouds of the fight with DLH were won by Trinidad, so your post makes no sense. Last but not least, I think that Sturm is a great boxer but the guy has no chance of sending Trinidad back into retirement.

Mayweather is one of the top doggz in my opinion but he needs to fight more. He has fought some great opponents through his career and has a record to be proud of. Bring on Tszyu or Gatti or Cotto for some amazing fights, out of all those i think Mayweather will have the easiest time with Gatti. Floyd is better in every single was as a dedicated fighter.

That's not what this is about. I believe one day that Cotto will be a big attraction because he has amazing skill, KO power, and his punches have some real attitude. Hattons an attraction in Europe...not in America. He comes over here and he won't sell shit either because no one cares or knows who he is. This debate ain't about whether Cotto will put butts in seats. Cotto at this point is NOT overrated. He only has 21 fights to his name and will continue to fight better comp with each fight. Oliveira is a decent opponent but he's not even close to the calibre of fighter that someone with 37 FIGHTS under their belt should be fighting. It's like Hatton keeps taking on the semi-decent tough guys whose boxing skills just aren't up to par. There will be very few guys that will be able to deal with the effective aggressiveness, accurate punching, power, and speed that Cotto brings. Hatton's workrate and body punching is nice, but not against a fighter who brings tight body defense and powerful counterpunching like Cotto. I think Cotto would beat Ricky inside of 8 or 9. It'd be a nice fight while it lasted however.
The one time Cotto sold big was againt Pinto in PUERTO RICO. Cotto tires easily, can't box, and I'm very sceptical of his chin. I don't think I'm the only one who thinks Cotto will drop like a ton of bricks once he gets in with a legit Top 10 opponent. HBO wanted Cotto to face Pinto because it looks like he was able to survive a real punching threat on his record. Hatton would easily outsell Cotto in America...NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!

I got a call from Chris Byrd and Cory Spinks and Byrd just rambled on and on and I started talking about his wife and he got quiet, then he talked about his religion a bit and said he couldnt make any neutral or negative comments about king only positive so it was ok but lasted a good 5-7 minutes. When I had spoken with Cory he just talked about his Uncle and we spoke about Judah and Mayorga....He spoke down on his father a bit but held his uncle in high regards (with good reason)...We talked for about 20 minutes and it turned out when he trains he trains about 45 minutes from where I live, he gave me the exact location but im not about to roll up in their though.
I only got the calls from Rahman and Malignaggi...You win! Which time did you talk to Spinks? My buddy Kyle also got the call from Spinks but I'm not sure which chat it was.
