SMH.. risky... right! Miller is limited and AJ will handle him with zero problems. I do find it B.S. though that Hearn is willing to let AJ fight Miller in the U.S. but refuses to fight Wilder outside the U.K.
"It is a risky affair, in that respect, because he is used to his home comforts - 90,000 at Wembley and 80,000 at the Principality Stadium a couple of times each. Now he goes to the Mecca of boxing, the iconic Madison Square Garden, where the great heavyweights have performed - Ali, Frazier, Louis, Marciano, Tyson," Hearn told Sky Sports.
Respect to AJ for going to America and taking the fight. Even though most don't rate Miller as a top guy.
I dunno man... I feel like he's only doing it because Hearn wont need to pay off anyone to get by Miller. Why didn't they offer to come to the U.S. for Wilder? Probably because Hearn knows he needs to have things swung in AJs favor against Wilder and Hearn isn't connected in the U.S. like he is in the U.K. to be able to pull strings. I am glad to see AJ is finally fighting in America though. Just wouldnt give em too much credit yet.
Roach should NOT at all be talking about others juicing and penalties. Pacman was juicing for yrs and starching guys. Soon as Mayweather got on his ass about fight and drug testing, Pacman made excuses. When he did stop juicing his power suddenly went away and he has stopped only one or two opponents to date since than.
Then no champion should request for a rematch clause. That was one of Wilders stipulations why he didn’t sign the fight. Most of his fans including you have been moaning for months about it.
You are talking all this philosophy crap about confidence and a fighter thinking about a loss is warped but in the same breath saying “ I’m not saying a fighter shouldn’t get a rematch clause” what is it? Because a rematch clause going by your strategy speaks of a fighter not being 100 percent confident hence a safety net.
Do you think there was a rematch clause in place with Wilder vs Ortiz? Or because AJ spoke on it it means he is thinking about a loss?get real and stop reaching
No sir... if you read what i said i did not say he should not want a rematch clause. Im saying he should not be openly TALKING about it in interviews. That is CONTRACT talks for your management not a fkn piece of info for an article. Fighters talking about a rematch is like saying IF and WHEN i lose. You are not supposed to think you can lose. Sure get insurance in form of a rematch clause but leave that to your management team, dont talk about it as if it's something that even exists. Shows doubt. The mind is a very powerful tool and if AJ is allowing his mind to imagine him losing that to me as an free thinker is a sign of weakness. Not a stretch at all. Its my opinion.
First off, the fact that AJ is thinking and talking about when Wilder will retire says a LOT.
Secondly AJ demanding that any HW has to beat him twice to be considered the best says even more.
The thought of a loss and a rematch to redeem yourself speaks to a lack of confidemce in oneself. He shouldnt think about being beat once let alone twice. He should be of the mindset that he needs no rematch clause because hes going to get the W. Not presetting himself up for failure by stressing the need for a rematch "just in case". There should be no just in case. Go in ready to win or die and dont give yourself the comfort of knowing u can just give up if you are losing because you have that rematch as insurance. Not saying dont get a rematch clause but stop talking about it as if its a tool you have. Should be an afterthought.
ha... ok than
Beating Joshua twice says Joshua being the A side gets a rematch clause so you have to beat him twice. It's simple to understand unless you're a complete idiot. So congratulations.
It has nothing to do with confidence, just a statement of fact. Joshua even says in the piece that if Wilder believes he can beat him, come and get it. Simple really.
Clearly you didn't get it. Im reading between the lines something simple minded folk cant seem to do. Not talking literally. AJ talking of himself losing is psychological in MY OPINION and I am entitled to an opinion. There are fighters who would never say IF i lose or talk about a rematch before they fight someone because it's inviting negativity into your mind. In a sense it shows doubt. Usually talk of rematches is left to managers and contract negotiations, it's not something FIGHTERS walk around saying. Good on you for standing up for your boyfriend though.
Oh and "idiot" oooooooohoooooohoh your sooooooo cool and tough and you sure put me in my place and all that good stuff that comes with being a keyboard warrior. Cheers sir.
Yup too bad it wont help you when Josesito Tax that ass!
Are you Mexican out of curiosity? I mean no disrespect just trying to make sense out of your statement
I’m just saying you are Mexican.Am I right?:439:
are you new to boxing? just trying to make sense of your statement?
I’m a newbie ,now answer the question because Lopez is garbage
😄 yo it's too early for this bahahaha. Yall killin me over here with the quick jabs.
I dont want Thurman to lose mainly because I want to see how far he will take this ducking Spence thing. At least Bowe didnt hide it, he clearly didnt want to fight Lewis and even went as far as to throw the belt in the garbage when the WBC mandated him to do so. Made no excuses, didnt say Lewis wasnt worthy or that they would fight later. He just said fuck it, you ain't forcing me to do shit I actually respect that more.
Eddie really puts the EARN in Hearn doesnt he?! I don't believe a word that comes out of this conniving mans mouth. Anyone who gets booed as much as he does in his own home country has to be a scumbag. Only the real low lifes with no character support and defend this guy. Not saying AJ is guilty by association or anything, I like AJ. But Hearn I could gladly do without.
I now look very stupid :D
can't believe he's not that far behind AJ for total amateur fights, although I didn't follow AJ before London 2012 anyway and I'm still not a fan .. but no excuse for not knowing Wilder competed in the olympics
100% respect that. Green K sent for keepin it real.
Unlike some of you I don't think Broner has the chance to sleep Khan. Not at 147 at least. Broners power has not travelled up with him, he is a nat Jr Welter. Khan has shown to be chinny but he has also taken some big shots from natural Welters so it aint like he has no chin. Khan wud erroneously outwork Broner who would get caught with his hands in his pocket
“For this game, you’ve gotta really love it and want it – you’ve gotta be very, very hungry.""#/QUOTE]
To gain weight that fast you also have to be very, very hungry.
McGregor gassing by the 6th isn't a big deal in sparring because chances are he was going ham for those 6 rounds trying to show Paulie up. I don't see him boxing as intelligently and economically in sparring as he would when implementing a strategy in an actual fight. Plus we don't know if his coaches told him to go hard body until he gassed to see how many rounds of an all out onslaught he could execute at this stage on training. Everyone needs to stop making a big deal about sparring. That being said, Connor can't spar enough rounds in a year let alone a few months to beat Mayweathers 3 decades plus of muscle memory. May slaps him easily wether Connor gasses early or not.
Rogan does his podcasts high.. even smokes during the podcast on camera. Nuff said.
Are we surprised at this dope head comment? We all be overthinkin and sayin outlandish shyt when we high. Nothing to see here.
Frank Bruno you waste yute! Could you kindly stfu!?! OF COURSE a Brit favors a fellow Brit to beat an American. When do they ever pick an American over their own (in exception of that twat Amir Khan) in a boxing match? Nutn to see here.. k.i.m. keep it movin!
He should target Parker. The Klit we saw against AJ would beat Parker. That could set up a rematch against AJ or a clash wit Wilder. If he can pull off da W against wilder than he and AJ could have a mega rematch to unify all the belts! If he loses to Wilder than Joshua and Wilder can unify. Either way, Klit should go for Parker as that's his best chance at a belt out of the 3 options
I put all my points on Fury to beat both wilder and Joshua IF he is 100% that is.
I don't kno man. To beat Wilder you have to K.O. him because he just needs to eventually get to you as he's proven that when he does get to you it's eventually night night. I don't see Fury stopping him and I don't see Fury going 12 rounds without getting caught. AJ has best chance to beat DW but Joshua hasn't as much as uttered his name since beating Klit.
I cant see anyone, pacfan or otherwise making any excuses. I do however see a little pansy trying to run away to australia when he should be negotiating and getting slapped down by the guy who pays his wages. This has already made the few fans brave/thick enough to come in this thread cry a little...and more will come, just watch!:lol1:
You sir are an indescribably detestable onanist and a primitive mattress-soiling nauseating assault on the senses. Reading your posts make me vomit, senseless hate for two men. You hate so much, Julien Blanc would feel loved standing next to you.
Completely disagree, don't rate Fury. Rate Wilder even less.
Fury by KO.
Ummm Hmmm... said the guy from the UK... smh. Biased opinion.
Im Canadian and I was 100% on board saying Wilder would kick Stiverne's a$s. Im a boxing fan not a hometown favorite fan. Wilder kicks Fury's ass. Fury's undefeated record from beating "domestic" opponents is as much of a joke as Wilders resume was before adding Stiverne to it.
Fighters like him get little credit on this forum because the majority of people on here know little about boxing, as soon as they see a mover they just label him a "runner" and that the end of it.
Agreed. May weather started it. Most of the haters who call boxers runners r Mayweather haters and associate his brilliance with cowardice. Hence why thdy hate on any boxer such as Lara who makes their over hyped and limited (skill wise) fighters like Canelo look bad.
Sad part is, it's all a disgrace to the G.O.A.T. Ali who IMO birthed the style of moving boxers. The versions today are just more refined versions of his float like a butterfly sting like a bee style.
Easy to say in hindsight. Reality may have been different. Obviously Lennox is one of the greatest heavyweights ever, but the Golotas and Bowes of the world could have looked like plodding piles of **** against Wladimir.
Yah it's true but Lewis had far more able bodied Heavyweights to fight. Not just big men, but big men with skill. I highly doubt Klitchko has as good a career in Lewis's era as Lewis does. Would love to see how he would handle an inside fighting headbutting workaholic like Holyfield for example. Wlad's run is kinda similar to Larry Holmes own IMO because they were both in between waves. After the Great HW era of Ali, Frazier, Foreman etc we had the Holmes era of him and nobodies. Than we got the Era of Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe and their cast of solid contending heavies like Golota, Grant, Tua, Botha, etc. Than Wlads era came and he's had nobody to tango with that means anything. Now that his era is coming to its final lap, in the rear view mirror we have certified talented HW beasts like Wilder, Fury and Joshua on the come up to compete for control of the wheel plus solid contenders like Jennings and Stiverne keeping their names relevant as threats. Hopefully more HW's emerge in the next few years to add to the pool of talented BIG Heavies!
the wide looping punches make me cringe...Wilder is fortunate to be in a such a crap era of HWs that he is able to create some kind of buzz for himself
if this were the 90s or early 2000s, there would be no Deontay Wilder
That my friend sounds like Klitchko in a nutshell.
Pacman is a senator he can't leave his country for long periods at a time anymore so if he does return to the sport Im willing to bet his next fight takes place in his country. How cool would that be to see the greatest most exciting fighter of the last decade return to the ring .
I agree... I've been waiting to see BRONER back in the ring for a good few months now!
I agree with you on pacs flaws I just have become frustrated with AB pulling straight back or moving straight back to avoid a shot or attempt to defuse pressure when the correct thing to do is slip the shot or pressure latterally. When you see a fighter with so much talent lose a fight or fights because of simple siht or showboating when he should be focused I lose confidence in that fighter showing up for the big moment. Broner has done this twice. I think we can agree he should have beat porter and chino. But because of his performance in these two fights I question which AB will show up in his next big fight. For this reason I give Manny the nod .
FACTS
I can't rely on Broner being at his best because he's proven to not take the big fights serious
I think Tarver Beating Jones and Douglas beating Tyson are both higher on the list of great victories because the Duran Leonard fight was a toss up. Douglas Tyson was supposed to be a blowout and with the drama and sheer determination of Douglas climbing off the canvas to comeback and KO Tyson... yah. That was great!
