ANTHONY JOSHUA has offered Wladimir Klitschko a rematch anywhere in the world - if his family let him. Britain's new king of the ring picked himself up off the canvas to stop Klitschko in the 11th round of their sensational heavyweight clash on Saturday night. Former champ Klitschko has a rematch clause he can trigger if he wants another shot at Joshua. Click Here To Read More]
Wlad should let Anthony go for other belts, giving credits to Joshua who accepted the challenge and didn't duck wasting the valuable Wlad's time. Now Wlad has to do the same and let Joshua go without wasting his time. Fan's humble opinion from Ukraine.
P.S. Retire or not - is up to Wlad. Next fight against Parker would be the best, assuming Anthony to pick Wilder.
He should target Parker. The Klit we saw against AJ would beat Parker. That could set up a rematch against AJ or a clash wit Wilder. If he can pull off da W against wilder than he and AJ could have a mega rematch to unify all the belts! If he loses to Wilder than Joshua and Wilder can unify. Either way, Klit should go for Parker as that's his best chance at a belt out of the 3 options
He should retire.
What that said, he's a very competitive man obviously and he will be sat there now feeling he let Joshua off the hook. He will be feeling like he can actually beat Joshua even though he lost. It must be hard to just switch off from that and feel like you're done when you almost had your opponent finished.
It wouldn't surprise me if he wants the rematch.
Went out and passed the torch without being embarrassed. Its a great ending and he has so much he can do outside the ring. Hopefully he lets the rematch go. Get his 1st ballot HoF spot and does great things with the rest of life
Of course he should fight on, he looked fantastic after a 17 month layoff. This version of Wlad should take that strap from Parker later this year and then take the rematch with Joshua in early 2018 and call it a day. Joshua is a beast when he lets his hands go he's lethal but part of me can't help and take away some praise on the fact that he fought a 41 year old who took him life and death and let him off the hook. Props to both men, best HW fight in over a decade but damn if mofo's want to act now like they weren't practically sh&&ting themselves in the 6th.
I said boxing fans. Apparently that doesn't apply to you. That was the best Klitschko I've ever seen. Don't use his age as an excuse. Both men had to get off the floor. One of them prevailed. Props to both of them.
Was definitely the best version of Wladmir I've ever seen. He brought his best Saturday.
Joshua didn't win my heart. He was hurt & dropped by a fighter who basically only throws a 1-2, and he only managed to survive and win by having more stamina than a 41-year-old man. It was the best win of his young career, but people are starting to go overboard with their praise. Joshua was the favorite for a reason. Everybody picked him to win, and it wasn't because they like his smile. Let's be serious.

Wlad looked great last time out, showed the best movement in years and that version would probably beat any other heavy out there...so why no rematch? Pack out a German stadium, an even bigger ppv and biggerp uses.
This should happen.
Wlad can still win this, but at what price. He is 41, would likely be 42 at the time of the fight. AJ hits incredibly hard.
Wlad would need to take some punishment. Is it really worth risking it at this point? A human body is not suppose to receive that punishment, especially in the 40s. Why risk the health - how sad would it be if he gets something in his 50s. Forget about the money and everything if you can not enjoy it.
Wlad retire! You have nothing to prove. You're ATG!
He almost pulled it off...it's $20 million...why not give it another shot. He's in excellent shape and might win the rematch. If he doesn't the money will help him get over it.
Hard to walk away from all that money especially when you came close to winning the first fight
But I think it's in his best interest to stay out of the sport. Not many get to walk away from Boxing on such a strong note.
I think Wlad should activate the rematch.Afterall, its an opportunity to seek revenge, take the last lap in boxing, and make some money before he retires...whether win or lose,he has made a mark in boxing
I don't think so, Klit is experienced and almost surprised the young Josh, he couldn't close the show, he won't do better in a rematch...he's fckin old.
Klit reminds me the 40s Holyfield, skilled and smart but can't pull the trigger anymore when necessary.
I really hope Wlad retires. I think he gave 100% everything he had left - both camp and fight - and he can´t do it again. AJ on the other hand learned more than he´s learned during his whole pro career this far and he should go after the other trinket holders ASAP.
Klitschko is both intelligent and proud. If intelligence wins, he will retire. If pride wins, he'll be knocked out again, in less rounds, in the rematch. The comparison that comes to mind right now is Evander Holyfield vs Dwight Muhammad Qawi: a war for the ages in the first fight, a quick wipeout in the rematch.
Yeah, or Morales vs Garcia, Morales almost beat him in the first fight, but fired his last bullets in that fight, then get koed quite easely in a rematch.
Would probably be the same for Klit.
Unless a KO punch, I don't see Klit having the will and shape to dominate a willy young athletic guy like Josh.

They both won the hearts of boxing fans.
Left it at that.

In my book Klitschko is The Best Heavyweight of All Time.....held the Heavyweight Division in a stranglehold for a little over a decade....but nobody beats time......the time came for the torch to be passed on.
