Pacquaio pressured Marquez in their first fight and knocked him down three times in the first round. The fight ended in a draw. Pac pressured Marquez in their fourth fight and got KTFO. Pac would stand no chance against Mayweather, although I am sure Arum will claim he would while promoting Pac's next fight against Provodnikov or Marquez.
Regarding your argument, Mayweather can't knock Pacquiao out so basing it in your argument, the worst case scenario will be a draw. What I'm just saying is Pac has a chance. I did not said that Pac WILL beat him.
I think this will be possible...
I've heard Pacquiao vs foreman before, but roach said its too dangerous for pac...
But I think someday he will conquer the 154 division too...
they need to improve their chin!... (pacland recommendation)
what a bunch of hype... besides pacquiao and donaire, phillipines has nothing..and donaire hasnt fought a worthy opponent since darchinyan and we all know pacquiao has a dark cloud over his career.
Just wait because promoters and international trainers are starting to see the potential of the Filipino fighters because of Pacquiao and because of their natural talent.
But I dont see the Filipinos to dmoninate the above 130 division...
huh after montiel whoops ciso morales the pinoys will cry either robbery or he was too green...
Actually many Pinoys view Ciso Morales as very underdog so I doubt that.
Ciso Morales is still young and many pinoys think he is not ready yet for the title shot... but who knows...
who thought pac will ko barera before... thats the beauty of boxing... very unpredictable..
I see so many people looking up to Pac,that there will be alot more fighters coming out of the Philippines. Its a good thing.
There is so much potential, they just need the proper training and conditionig as well as financial support...
Meh. Too many people here are obsessed with nationalities and race. Who cares what country and color a fighter is? I mean, I understand supporting guys local to you but besides that there really isn't a point...
Its what you call nationalism or national pride thingy...
Philippines has 1000 wannabe pacquiaos in training which will turn pro soon or just turned pro.
Three Ps will play the major role for this to happen...
Pacquiao
Poverty, just like manny who started as a very poor guy. People are willing to do anything just to be rich.
Pride, the spirit of nationalism
I hope Morales will score an upset...
I would like to see all the Filipino fighters win next week...
Promoters are finally seeing Filipino fighters as potential market (Besides Pacquiao); I hope the Pinoys will capitalize on it.
Him and other ALA gym stablemates need better conditioning if they want to perform better on a global stage. I haven't seen an ALA fighter who doesn't gass out.
I have to agree with that. ALA fighters need to improve their conditioning...
I saw this happen with AJ Banal... He was winning againts Rafael Conception for the world title but suddenly he was knock down... he gassed out.....
The Philippines are producing world class fighters on a regular basis now, some of these guys come out of nowhere like Sonsonsa and Casimero.
Marvin Sonsona (14-0-1 12 wins way by KO) and Casimero (14-0 8 way by KO) are just 19 years old. At their young age they are already world class fighters specially sonsona....
AJ Banal has a potential too...
During his preperation for his last fight I can see his lack of discipline...
But taking the fact he is dehydrated but still put up a good fight he did really has a potential.... but he needs to develop it not waste it...
I beleive sonsona can ko vasquez... seriously...
:)
not happening. He's 27 already.
At 27 Pacquaio had already won world championships in 3 weight divisions and was on his 2nd fight with Morales.
He has 2 already right now right?
then go for 5 or 6?
Then yeah Floyd vs Donaire? Might be a great fight :)
Marvin Sonsona will be the one going for 8 then :)
We might only have two world champions right now but we have many world championship matches, hopefully this will increase our number of world champions...

Eric Morel just won over the weekend the WBO 118lb belt so add one more to Puerto Rico...
I think he did not won the belt... He just won the right to face the WBO 118 champion which is Montiel...
