The average American cant name 5 current champions in this 4 belt era. Boxing will die out here in 5 years. It will turn right back into the early 2000s.
I dare any American to walk into a BWWs, Dave & Busters or any local sports bar and ask a random Joe. Can you name 5 current boxing champions ?
Haven't been able to name 5 champs in decades.
Am i missing something?? Just watched it 3 times over after reading this comment, but cannot find where in the video he says that. Is there a longer version of the faceoff that I am missing? Anyone else catch that comment from Bradley?
He never said that.
Pacquiao beat Bradley's ass and even if Tim won, his body language during the ass beating and his response in the post-fight interview with Max sure as hell didn't sound like someone who won.
"I'll have to look at the tape"
100% robbery
For me this is 11-1 10-2 fight.the idea that people are flop flopping now tells you all you need to about how sheepish the masses are
Good post.

Man vs woman. Seriously? I'd say any top male UFC flyweight and up to beat Floyd in a MMA match, but Floyd will break out of anything that Rhonda tries to do and get KO'd from the first decent punch Floyd throws.
I've only seen that show a few times but from the moments I saw, they obviously run out of things to talk about.
Mayweather would dominate again, so there's no point to this. Mayweather-Pacuqiao still makes sense because styles make fights, although I still think Pacquiao would lose in an entertaining fight.
It's more the fact that it will take time for Pac to recover mentally from a KO like that. It'll take time to build confidence back and with his current age, doesn't really leave much time. If Pac went straight into a fight with Floyd it'd mean nothing if Floyd won anyway as he seems to have a reputation of picking guys only once he sees weakness in them.
If Manny can come back and win a few good fights against top competition and if Floyd stays active and doesn't lose a step, this is still a big fight. Too bad it'll never be as big as it could have been a few years ago.
Also, Manny isn't that old. He looked like his normal self last night. With the things that Mayweather, Marquez, Martinez, and BHop have been doing, the only thing stopping Manny is him not committing the majority of his time to boxing. I hope he backs out of politics until he decides to retire from the sport. He did say he will continue fighting, so hopefully this KO loss will make him hungrier.
Why not. His speed was on point, so was his power and conditioning. Hell that was the best Pacquiao looked since the Cotto fight.
He made a mistake and was clipped, but it wasn't like he was taking a beating or getting outboxed.
I'm glad he isn't retiring and hopefully he can take on Rios/Bradley win that one and rematch Marquez.
What I think Manny will learn from this is that he doesn't need to revert back to his overly aggressive style as he is more skilled and he doesn't have to take the risk he did against Marquez (and earlier in his career) to put opponents away.
One of the best posts since he got KO'd.
I was talking about the individual commentators. They talked about the Marquez suspicion the day of the fight and the week following it.
They also failed to mention that Marquez tested negative and failed to mention that Pacquiao himself said he felt no major difference in the power of Marquez. I am just calling out the bias reporting.
That's fine, but this thread was a horrible way of doing it.
Should have used one of the existing threads.
Rigondeaux has to be one of the top 5 forum boners ever... I really don't get it.
"Best amateur of all time, olympic gold medalist"... stfu and earn your way like everyone else.
Donaire did an interview before the Montiel fight on HBO where he coined the term you can test me anytime.... They talked about his training with Conte and showed him doing his hypoxic training.... The term was coined because of the suspicion of working with Conte
This is exactly what I was talking about.
Stupid thread.
Put yourself in Donaire's shoes. Would you fight a no name with only 12 fights? There's no logical reason to take the fight, no matter what the fans want. Donaire kicks his ass regardless.
I still have yet to see an actual Andre Ward fight, besides a highlight video of Ward-Froch.
I hear he is extremely boring. How boring is he really?
Ward-Froch wasn't the most entertaining, but not the most boring either. It was a good fight. I don't see Ward losing any time soon.
