Pacquiao refused a 14 day cutoff period of the blood testing and a good money split and he said no, Floyd told him that the offer would no longer be on the table if he had to fight Mosley and what did Manny Pacquiao and co. do? they waited until AFTER the Mosley fight to accept the deal knowing it was no longer on the table. he made it clear he would want more money if his PPV sold more and it did so he now wants more money and NO cut off date, that's the NEW deal you can't just dig up the last deal and pick up from there because things changed.
Floyd Mayweather Jr is his own man, he doesn't have to fight anybody if he doesn't want to OR he could fight Cotto and it would be a great fight OR maybe even Timothy Bradley or even Andre Berto, whatever he does though 1 thing is a definite and that's the fact that he calls his own shots, Pacquiao can't do that. let Pacquiao fight that bum in Mexico and cheat history by fighting someone for the world title in a division where both you and your opponent aren't even ranked and do it for a vacant world title, yea let him go do that, Floyd is going to play his shit smart the way he always does and when they finally DO fight you better believe Manny is going to be taking those tests because Floyd ain't budging..
Crillz, where have you been? Apparently, you haven't been reading ESPN or some boxing sites. The drug testing is no longer an issue. Your boy just doesn't wanna fight little Pac. Crillz, wake up, dude!!!! You should be mad that your boy doesn't have the balls to face his biggest challenge. Media personalities are calling him a coward for a reason. You still don't get it!!!
seems is the key word. We don even know if pac agreed to the drug testing or not.
Flomos just don't get it. Flomos should all unite and pressure Floyd to grow a pair and face the little man otherwise, they will quit as loyal members of the flomo society.
No you fool were all watching the PPV card and watching a great JMM-Diaz fight. Like YOU should be doing but ofcourse you're not a Boxing fan. Its fight night and you are worried about a guy who's possibly retired.
Clown.
At least, one flomo responded and the rest of them are pretending to watch Marquez against Diaz. I won't be surprised if they are actually watching the old Floyd Jr fights.
You're pretty astute on your observation, and in addition, you can't expect an older Marquez to be faster and sharper when he went up 2 weight levels up. It's obvious that Marquez was not comfortable on welterweight level. I respect Mayweather's skills but he didn't really show much against an older and heavier Marquez. On top of that, Mayweather didn't have to lose so many pounds, thus, made him a lot stronger come fight night.
Mayweather was already around 147 pounds days before the weigh in and when he purposely decided to come in at 146, he didn't have to sweat or exhaust so much energy to drain few pounds. Losing even a pound close to fight night takes so much out of the fighter. I was expecting Mayweather to knock out a slower, weaker and older Marquez. I was surprised he couldn't.
Knowing how Mayweather is, he would have loved to knock Marquez out to bolster his claim that he's better than the little Filipino. You don't always have to listen to Floyd to know what he wants, just understand how he is.
Emotions aside, Mosley was the logical fight for Floyd. By taking this fight, He can make a lot of money and at the same time, an opportunity to be a welterweight champion again. We should all admire Floyd for taking this high-risk-high-reward fight.
if the IRS took 30 mil from him alone, i'm assuming that's a clue as to how much huge amounts of $$$ he has.
He had to auction some of his cars to pay the IRS. His fight against Marquez did not even generate 500,000 buys, Brad Cooney already exposed this myth. He's not as rich as he wants us to believe.
Keep the hype going boyz. Most boxing fans don't really care about those alphabet belts. We just want to see good fights or great fights. We should just applaud Floyd for taking this high risk fight. It would be nice to see Floyd against Manny eventually. Floyd's words and actions bring the worst out of Floyd haters and casual boxing fans. I can't blame them. These people will still be watching though.
400,000 buys and some change, not a million buys. Brad Cooney already exposed this myth. Floyd's words ad actions bring the worst out of Floyd haters. Even casual boxing fans hate his arrogance
According to yahoo sports article, early indications are that it will do 1.5 mil ppv buys which is EXACTLY what I predicted on the nose.
Keep in mind this would be the second largest non heavyweight PPV in history if that's the case.
Early indications are that more than 1 million buys for the fight between Floyd and Marquez. Guess what!!! They didn't even make 450,000 buys according to IRS records These numbers are as bloated as Floyd's ego.
Disrupt?
They allowed Mayweather and Mosley to finish up their training before they test them.
Soy, I'm sure you would love to see Mayweather fight a weakened Manny. You just don't see it. Face it? You want Manny to lose to this coward who's trying to get all the advantages before the fight happens. Manny agreed to a test right after the fight. That's not good enough for you. Stop hating Manny.
Because it's not bowing down, brother. Floyd is taking the same tests. And the request is a reasonable one. Not bowing down at all. And it's not about whether or not he wants to change the sport. It's about the sport's two top athletes blazing a trail for other top fighters to follow. They had agreed on a 50-50 split (shocking in today's world); why couldn't they agree to tests that would ensure an even playing field?
You know what's funny? Every now and then I recall, I remember an interview Floyd did where he was asking, "Who would turn down $25m over a blood test?" Then, the interviewer began speaking again but Floyd's mind drifted in space and he mumbled (aloud), "I still don't get it, man." Was so priceless :lol1:
Why is Floyd asking for USADA blood testing? Has he ever demanded this from his prior fights? Nevada State Athletic Commission testing is acceptable to Floyd because it allows usage of Xylocaine. But Floyd wants Manny to go through different kind of testing not just because he's scared of Manny but he also wants an advantage. He wants to make sure Manny is weakened on the day of the fight. Do you remember Floyd animatedly mentioned how Manny lost to Morales? What was Manny's reason why he lost? Manny felt weakened because his blood was drawn few days before the fight. Floyd knew this information. Floyd realizes that maybe it works to his advantage to have Manny go through the same process. Bottom line is Floyd has a reputation of ducking fighters, especially those fighters who can possibly beat the crap out of Floyd. Ironically, Manny never failed a blood test in his life and Floyd has a history of using PED which is XYLOCANE. Floyd fans blame Manny for not accepting the unprecedented demand of Floyd but they won't question Floyd's motive of his unprecedented demand. Is it FEAR on floyd's behalf! Floyd fans and Pacquiao haters will never think rationally because they just can't accept the reality that Manny is considered by majority of the boxing writers to be the best and most decorated fighter at this moment.
Considering where Manny came from, I admire his principle of not falling for Floyd's old tricks. Money, apparently, is not everything for manny. Floyd has no principle and his lust for money fogs up his rational thoughts. It's funny how Floyd's fans think of him as the face of boxing.
"I don't want to take the blood tests because he's bigger than me. It affects me more."
:lol1:
Dazed, Manny does not speak good enough english for you to understand. Manny said he will be weakened if the blood test is done close to the fight date. Are you one of those flomos who's trying to give the advantages to Floyd? Common! Manny is not even the size of Mayweather and yet you want a weakened Manny to fight your boy.
What 14 day cutoff? That offer is gone buddy, he will accept USADA.s procedure intact or "we aint got no fight"
So, Floyd will just wiggle his way out rather than face Manny! Floyd needs Manny to erase his reputation as a fighter who ducks fighters who are serious threat to his "0". As a Floyd fan, you would't like that.
The sad fact is that the 14 day cut off would already render the blood tests TOTALLY USELESS.
That's cuz it only takes 24 hours to completely hide the drugs from your system. That's according to Victor Conte of BALCO by the way, the company responsible for allowing OLYMPIC ATHLETES to successfully cheat the very same blood tests floyd jr. wants to impose on the pacman.
They've been beating that test for DECADES.
The blood test was just a ruse.
Manny never failed a drug test in his life. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Do you really think that Manny will do the routine of taking peds and flushing peds on his daily workout? That takes a lot out of you as a fighter. If you see the blood testing procedure to Mosley and Floyd, you should notice how invasive it was and pretty much takes longer than 4 hours to go through the process. Another thing, I don't know about you but everytime I take a blood test, I get dizzy and it takes me at least an hour and a half to recover and go back to my day to day task. What I'm trying to convey is, going through these tests unnecesaryly disrupts your training especially to a fighter like Manny who worksout like an animal.
Why not just go by the commission's rules?
:haha:
The commission should also change the rules about the usage of XYLO. Xylo is a PED no matter how you see it.
Are negotations even going to get started again? Roach said there will but Ellerbe denied it so can't come to an agreement without negotiations...
There's just too much money to be made for both fighters. I can't see why both sides don't push for it by now since Manny is done with his political adventures and Floyd is just looking for the next big payday. Can you imagine the 24/7 episodes?
Most pathetic cult like and disgraceful fanbase I have ever seen.
And you're one of the distinguished members of Flomo religion who only believes whatever Floyd preaches.
Margarito's trying to get paid.
Floyd money fights for cash but he'd rather fight Baldomir for $4 mil than face Margo for $8 mil. That's what we call ducking from a real fight.
And while your at it, go take a English Summer School Class, it will teach you to get all your thoughts out at one time, instead of continually editing all your post.
Go take "AN" English Summer School Class. Comedian is "AN" English language expert. Believe that... and he's a boxer too.
Manny Pacquiao is a good fighter but I feel as though he is overrated and people are falling into the HYPE the media surrounds him with. Not to take anything away from him but his career has been crafted to make him into a super star these last few years. Fighting Oscar, Hatton, Cotto & Clottey didnt prove much to me. Oscar at his age could not perform at 147 so that was a give me fight. Hatton had suffered a ko against floyd and in his return bout was staggered in the 10th round only to escape with a victory to be ko in his next fight. Cotto was damaged after the margarito fight and hasnt been the same since. He wasnt the same against jennings, clottey, pac, or foreman. Cotto needs to RETIRE ASAP. And clottey? Well we wont even talk about that character.
All im saying is people are blowing this fight up the way FLoyd would want you to. He's been in this hot seat numerous times and one other time that was similar was against Hatton. After Hatton stopped Castilo with a body shot he said "These 4 rounds had more excitment then Floyds whole career". People bought into it, the hype was crazy, I was considered a flomo then as well as now.
At the end of the day Floyd is just to technical & Manny makes too many mistakes that Floyd will capitalize on. The fight will be a shut out victory for Floyd. You might not like his style but u have to respect it.
Sounds like a numbnut Pachater and a flomo-ball-licker. There's a reason why the AMERICAN boxing writer's association picked Manny over Floyd as the fighter of the decade. Manny is a good ambassador of boxing. Floyd may have all the skills but he doesn't have the heart and courage (or balls) to face tough opponents. That's why your boy is branded or has a reputation of a coward. Only flomos don't recognize that.
Just like yesterday buhahaha , Manny aint much without a CW , slow opponent and maybe PEDS , anyone with speed gives him trouble , Floyd will dominate him with pin point accuracy and speed .
Your hypothetical is awesome unfortunately your boy finds all excuses not to fight Manny. Food for thought, his shoulder roll might result to a dislocated shoulder from continous pounding. Granting Manny has not faced somebody like Floyd but has he fought somebody like Manny's speed and power. Does Floyd have enough power for manny to be scared of? Floyd has a history of struggles against southpaws, Manny is not just an ordinary southpaw who punches from different angles and throws more combinations. Do you think Floyd has the stamina to keep up with Manny considering pretty boy's inactivity. Manny is in his prime and hits harder than Mosley, can Floyd handle Manny's power and relentless pressure. All these hypotheticals can only be answered if your boy can grow some balls and face the daredevil.
yeah he's gonna get sparked, totally agree
so what's keeping him from fighting Pac?
that "supposedly" roided Pac which looked sh!t against backpeddler granpa Mosley?
It's funny fow this floidiots spin the Mosley- Pacquiao fight. Mayweather looks so pretty in their eyes that they don't see why Floyd kept on running away from Manny. Most of the boxing fans(not floyd nuthuggers) know that PRETTY BOY is flat out scared of the midget from the Philippines. Floyd will never reach Pac's status because he's just a big, loudmouth *****. Well known for ducking serious contenders, that will always be his reputation. What a waste of all the boxing skills in the world. Gifted but has no heart or balls. Floidiots, wake up and smell pretty boy's balls. His 41-0 record doesn't mean crap if you know that he's a big time *****.
How would he look bad, when he took the offer away in February? Think with your brain and not your heart. The one that looks bad and has explaining to do is Manny. What part of LOGIC says, reject the offer when it is available and "accept" it when it DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE???
Coach, my heart says we want to see the fight but my brain says flomos seem scared and they don't want to see this fight. Your logic is, whatever Floyd says is final and Floyd should get whatever he wants.
Really?
Explain why Manny accepted a NON existent offer please. Thank.
Manny is simply trying to get this negotiation started. NEGOTIATION !!!! He wants the fight. Flomos don't have the guts to challenge Mayweather to fight the little $hit, instead, they continue to rationalize his coward stance.
