Shane throws a jab that mayweather blocked then he tried to counter with a hook right as shane was countering with a hook, not an uppercut.
Let's look at their measurements and maybe you can figure out why pacquiao would not catch mayweather with something like that:
Reach-Shane=74" Mayweather=72" Pacquiao=67" and Cotto=67"
Height-Shane=5'9" Mayweather=5'8" Cotto=5'7" and Pacquiao=5'6.5"
Lets break it down, 5" reach disadvantage with a 1.5" height disadvantage, your facing a guy that is either faster or just as fast and is the best defensive fighter of this era, if not ever. Oh wait I forgot about counter punching, pacquiao had two of his toughest fights versus a counter puncher with the a 67" reach and you dont think a person that is way faster, better reflexes, longer reach and a better counter puncher can beat him. And thats just if mayweather fights on the outside.
Now if mayweather chooses to fight on the inside I just see nothing that pacquiao can do. If pacquiao cant stop him from getting on the inside he will be man handled on the inside, he is just too small.
Now pac's best chance is the mid-range. Floyd has the reach advantage, a very good jab, pac has to lunge in to hit floyd and is shorter. Manny has good foot work and so does floyd.
Manny isnt going to be lunging in after he is hit with enough straight rights and check left hooks. Manny's connect percentage will probably be worst than marquez's vs floyd.
I welcome any real evidence that disputes my analysis of the fight not no manny is the FOTD, BS.Great Post!!!!!!!!!!!!
i see the fight being tough for both fighters early cause there both gonna be trying to figure each other out, floyd landing clean crisp jabs and an occasional lead right, pac throwing akward combos from all directions getting through floyds defense with some of them....as for the mid part of the fight i see it getting alot more intense with floyd throwing more punches because of pac's workrate whcih will turn into a very entertaining fight which will play in pac's hands...as the fight goes on i see pac landing more and more solid shots on floyd, yea floyd will land some to but not as much as pac..... And i just see floyd being overwhelmed by pac late in the fight.......late ko/tko or ud for pac.....
Props for the worst fight analysis I've ever read.
And while your at it, go take a English Summer School Class, it will teach you to get all your thoughts out at one time, instead of continually editing all your post.
Go take "AN" English Summer School Class. Comedian is "AN" English language expert. Believe that... and he's a boxer too.
orgy where's your fight breakdown??

Cut and Paste from different Threads I have posted....Keys for this mythical fight.
This was a cut and paste on a thread about why "Pacquiao and Roach using unknown sparring partners and why"...this is relevant to how I see this mythical Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.....too much to retype thus the cut and paste.
I think that most people doesn't realize is that NO ONE can actually be like Mayweather but what Roach is doing (and he is doing just great) is to work with specific attributes and applying his strategy with "quick fisted fighters"...
I think that his ways of teaching is really conducive to the way Pacquiao works, his psyche, his body...and not only Pacquiao believes him, he adores him. Pacquiao is a tireless worker and competitor and Roach can see that in him.
Having said that, the contrasting styles between the Pacquiao and Mayweather really pose for the classical fighters and "how to beat" both. This would mark as something really substantial and to the degree or magnitude of what is at stake in this level of boxing is astounding and mostly intruiging.
I don't care much for the drama but for purely the technicalities of both fighters' approach and style: The Pugilist boxer in Mayweather and the Pugilist Slugger in Pacquiao.
I couldn't believe how Pacquiao transformed from a relatively tactical fighter from the outside and now into a full blown slugger with a twist. He isn't just a rock-em-sock-em robot but with a strategy.
Having said that, Mayweather would still pose great challenges....namely, his jabs, footwork, shoulder rolls, and great defensive skills all capped by his squirrel-like quickness and timing.
My take is how Pacquiao can:
• cut Mayweather off the jab
• counter jabs
• assault Mayweather with his quick footworks
And I think Pacquiao would have to:
• use the right hook AND left cross/hook a lot inorder to counter off the jab
• use footwork and cutting angles outside of Mayweather's left jab
• lateral movements and move to Mayweahter's right cross
• the KILLER LEFT (the cross, the hook and the new famed HOOKERCUT)
• use jabs more
I think those are the keys. While with Mayweather, I think he would look for:
• Catch Pacquiao flatfooted with a jab AND double jabs
• Right cross
• lateral movements mainly to his LEFT and Pacquiao's RIGHT side
• Jab and clinch
• Work him tirelessly from the outside
• lunging left hooks
Having said those, this would be a real megafight, but I am also reserving myself towards a disappointing fight should one of them could actually dominate this fight. It isn't far fetch.
Either fighter can in one fight.
Here's to a great fight and hopefully entertain us to no limit! I am a Pacquiao fan obviously but I am also a Mayweather fan in terms of technicalities. I love Ali's style, the jab and the cross, the footworks.
This was posted from another thread by me when asked "how can Pacquiao dominate Mayweather"....too much to retype thus I have to cut and paste.
If Pacquiao can cut off the ring effectively and much more if he timed his IN-AND-OUT efficiently....then he can dominate Floyd.
But that remains to be seen. As a fan of the JAB and shuffling a la' ALI in Floyd while also being a Pacquiao fan, this will be THE fight of the century.
I am thinking that Pacquiao would have to be in his absolute best with flawless footwork to get in and hit Floyd with great leverage. In that light I can see Pacquiao struggling.
Until Pacquiao lands and hurts Floyd that would or could entice Floyd into a brawl that would obviously give Pacquiao the nod of the fight.
But Pacquiao is deliciously savvy and on the roll. If he can do both his lateral "Triangular" footwork and outside of Floyd's jab AND outside Floyd's Right Cross....then Pacquiao would eat him alive.
But that remains to be seen. Mayweather's quick and darting jabs can also neutralize Pacquiao then clinching.
This was posted on a thread long ago by me...on the issue of "how can Floyd avoid or deter Pacquiao's RIGHT HOOK"....hard to retype all of these and relevant to this thread.
The key, I think for FLOYD is to:
• LEFT JAB as a quick counter while moving laterally to his left. Meaning to "counter" while connecting first.
• Shoulder Roll while leaning to his right as the opponent's RIGHT HOOK is about to land on his left
• Beat the opponent to the punch with his right cross
• Leaning back (upper body)
• Left Guard up (instead of low)
• Bob and Weave to the left and under the Right Hook a la' Pacquiao's Duck and Roll to Hatton's wide left hook or jab
• Beating his opponent's left hook with a sharp and snappy left hook (inside) or a left uppercut...
I just listed or rather exhausted the possibilities of what Floyd CAN do. But in most probability, his well-timed left jab is the most effective while using the footwork and lateral movements to get away from Pacquiao's counters. But if Floyd lands his jabs well, then he either just follow it up with a RIGHT CROSS or just double up on his jab.
Landing those would, in most cases, nullify anyone's RIGHT HOOK or anyone's attack. I said, in most cases....thus a variation of the Left Jab and it's timing/angles are the key for unpredictability.
I think this would be the most that Freddie Roach would study on how Floyd throws his jab. Freddie Roach is looking for habits and patterns, such as:
• Does Floyd do anything such as tapping his gloves before jabbing.
Obviously he doesn't but that is just an example. Most of the time, Floyd would throw his left jab from a stance where his left arm is low on his midsection level (or throw the lunging left hook) while the right arm is always on guard to deter any punches to Floyd's right side in conjunction with his left shoulder (see shoulder roll).
Floyd's footwork is empeccable. The timing of his jabs are such that upon landing the jab, he recoils very quickly with his feet already on a transition towards his lateral left, right or backwards.
Therefore I see Freddie Roach studying the head-on LEFT JAB counters with Pacquiao's right hook to the head or body, right upper cut....or the usual Left Cross to the head, Left hook, left uppercut or the left hookercut (see Cotto going down on the 3th round).
From my own humble observation, I can see Pacquiao going on the outside of Floyd's left foot on a 45 degree before even Floyd throws his jab. This is a typical FMA (Filipino Martial art - Kali/escrima/arnis which I am practicing) positioning inorder to cut the opponent with a left lead...
I can see possibilities of Pacquiao throwing the right hook to Floyd's left rib or left side of the face or even a right uppercut. Then of course, the usual bread and butter weapon, HIS LEFT CROSS or LEFT UPPERCUT or LEFT HOOK. (either to the face or body).
Timing is obviously a crucial issue and so is the footwork involved with it. That is why I know Freddie Roach is very much concerned about teaching Pacquiao the way to "cut" Floyd outside inorder to be the aggressor and putting Floyd on the utmost defensive.
I can also see lateral movement to the left (bob and weaving) Floyd's RIGHT CROSS, then going with Pacquiao's left hook to the body and going upstairs with the left hook.
Many possibilities...
I see this fight as a salivating feast for an armchair boxer in me...while being a practitioner or student of the FMA and JKD...
u must think pac just stands like mosley and throw a punch huh so therefore he wont reach, do u even know how pac fights?? he closes the distance with hisfootwork and comes at u outofnowhere, try watching the odlh fight, U WOULD SEE MANNY USES HIS STRAIGHT LEFT LIKE ITS A JAB!! first time he did that which was really weird..and thats one long ass reach. lmao dude u r reasoning around the gifs dude.. essentially lying to yourself
no point in ANALYZING ANYTHING if u r not gonna properly put into perspective every trait of both fighters instead of having a bias and incomplete assesment of HOW PAC WONT REACH FLOYD LOL
THE GIFS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES
Floyd is not ODL... what's the point???? He can't do that to Floyd he has to come with something else.... what can he do that will beat Floyd
im leaning towards floyd on this one..............................but floyd gots some mental issues as of late.............
im not gonna lie at first i was 50/50 on this fight....but i just think pac will be to much for floyd.......

But Pac will just stand there and get hit like everyone else. Watch the early rounds of his fights with Cotto and Clottey. He was a little confused on how to attack. Floyd will murder him with the straight right and left hook when that happens, he'll probably even throw in a jab or two for good measure. .
