This is just a workout fight for Peter, its always happened in boxing just look at any of the past boxers and you'll see bums listed in between the big fights. HBO dont have a television slot for him until the summer so this is just a risk free workout.
Yeah that was an interesting read, Foreman would have smashed Tyson in my opinion.. Tyson was right when he said he is a "f'ing animal" :D He had one of the best chins in boxing and Tyson would have been right there in front of him taking bombs. Tyson would have been KO'd.

It looked really cool, it was like a gas mask with dredlocks and a plain white mental institute suit. It reminded me of something from those old rave music videos. :D
Yes, I cant believe people were calling him a coward after that fight, I thought it showed balls to say I quit and admit that your opponent was too good for you that night. He knew it wouldn't go down well with the boxing community but still went ahead with it, I admire that.
I completely agree, they are getting paid good money to risk themselves the way they do. duran shouldn't have quit because he was frustrated that was low. If a fighter quits after being hurt and you can't really tell if he is hurt or quitting then thats when its OK because on one will find out otherwise it just shows someones a coward.
Duran is a legend that has had 119 fights in his pro career, a champion in four different weight divisions, he's anything but a coward.
That would be a great fight to make. I have no doubt Tszyu is itching for that fight especially as the Undisputed Welterweight title would be on the line.
First time I had seen Tiozzo fight. He looked really good, he took a few shots but his punches were very accurate. I think the winner of Johnson/Tarver II should give him a shot at the title.
I think its a bit early to call him a superstar in the making, the way he gassed so quickly against Thompson was suprising. That was a big step up from the competition he was facing before the fight, Thompson is a top 5 Cruiser after all. He still has the talent to go far, will be interesting to see how he deals with Kelly.
I'm embarassed to say that I've never seen this guy fight, I read that his style didn't make him a crowd pleaser, but I am a fan of stylists. I'll have a look out for some of his fights.

I wouldn't take much notice of their rankings, its a great website to check for fighters records but if you want to see good rankings check out Ring Magazines or Fightnews rankings.
Blacks dominate the sport, we are seeing a lot of good African fighters making a name for themselves lately too. So I wouldn't just say African Americans, blacks in general.
Did anyone notice how small those gloves were they were fighting with? compared to the balloons Hopkins and Eastman were fighting with a week earlier they looked tiny.
He is like Ruiz only a lot dirtier. He dives in with his head, chucks an elbow or 2, pushes opponents.. he is a rough house type of fighter that seems to get the job done. The fight last Friday was not pleasing to the eye, ugly fight.
Its gonna be funny watching fighters target the top of Ettiens head in future fights, he has a pretty good chin from what I've seen its just that damn head. :D
