I'd say black americans, and not just as boxers but also as athletes.
First they have the physique, body-build up needed for sports.
Second, americans have the $$$ to train and condition their athletes
Third, the abundance of food and food supplements (including medicines, vitamins, etc) in their country.
Latinos.
They produce the most champions in Professional Boxing.

Of course black champions seem predominant.
Then a guy like Corrie Sanders or Vitali comes along and punks out the entire division, and it makes you wonder.
Of course there are always exceptions to the rule. But we are speaking about who dominates in general.

well, i think the question's gotta be decided between who are the best fighters/boxers, and who are the most entertaining to watch. As much as i jump to say African Americans, i can't get friggin Barrera-Morales out of my head....and I can't wait for Morales-Pacquiao....tossup
The accomplishments of not only African Americans but Black athletes in general in boxing cannot be denied. Whether or not it is from some kind of genetic factor really is irrelevant. The record books and facts speak for themselves, black athletes for whatver reason dominate boxing.

I must debate alittle here with you. When you say mexicans and the altitude of the mountains then your strictly saying then mexicans in that region. What about a mexican native living in wisconsin, will he still have that stamina. Also, what might happen if the pools were no longer available to the whites and became easily accessed by the blacks. Would the whites still dominate that sport.
I agree that the social surroundings have alot to do with a fighters make up, but I still have trouble believing that one race is superior to another. It would seem a stereo type?........Rockin'
Yes, your right, the mexican point that I made is not genetic. It would only apply to those mexicans living in mexico. That point would be valid for anyone of any race who were to train at altitude. Should have made that clearer. ;)

It is a fact that blacks have denser bones and muscles and less buoancy in the water, so, say if the ratio of blacks and whites was reversed in californian universities, you would still see the whites setting faster times (assuming all training was identical). Their are plenty of black swimmers in the US, yet how many of them are on the US swim team.
I'm not saying that one race is superior to another, I am just pointing out that we have differences genetically, which help or hinder certain aspects of one's physical abilities. You can look up the medical texts if you want, just stating the facts that there are differences between the genetic makeup of each race. ;)
Race has very little to do with anything. What it comes down to is who at that time period is living poor, in the ghetto. Who learns the toughness of the game before they even step into the ring by just stepping out on the street. back in the 30's-40's it was the jews and italians. They were the ones living it the tough way in the ghettos of nyc and all over the country. Now you see few jew or italian champions.
People say that the blacks were bread to be bigger, stronger and faster. Shit, thats the million dollar man steve austin. Some are fast and some are not. If I stepped into the ring to fight a black guy with the thought that they were in some way geneticaly superior, or any other person or race for that matter, I would not have won a fight. I am a white boy as they called me in the gyms of Detroit. I was surrounded mainly by blacks in the gyms that i went to. Those guys are like my brothers. They knew that we were all fighters, with the same things as the next guy. 2 fists, 2 eyes, one mind and one heart. Show me how genetics can change that and I will then agree with you that there is a geneticaly superior fighter on this planet...........Rockin'
I agree with everything you say, BUT, there is genetic differences between the races, and it is a fact of life. It has been proven that black people are born with a higher bone and muscle density than caucasions which is one of the reasons that swimming is a sport that is dominated by caucasions as they have better buoancy in the water. (Of course an added factor is that alot more caucasions have access to pools!) Black people also have a higher % of people that are born with fast twitched fibre in their make-up which is conducive to explosive sports, eg. Sprinting, jumping etc. Mexicans will nearly always have great stamina due to the fact that Mexico city is at altitude and again it is a proven fact that training at altitude helps your stamina. You could go on.
The thing is that generally boxers are from lower class families and they have the drive and talent to be the best at their chosen sport no matter what race they are. Factors such as upbringing and other socio-economics will always play a part, but it is the heart, will and natural talent that a person is gifted with, that will make them a champion boxers. :)
