Oscar deserved to lose even though I thought he clearly won more rounds. Anyone who bitchedly flees the field of battle deserves to lose IMO.
not his fault... he was simply following his corner... he won that fight regardless if he ran the last rounds... he was playing it safe... and it bit him in the ass...
So he won MMA... and beat John Stover... but he won because there was a stipulation that Stover couldnt go to the mat with him, kick or knee... but what are you gonna do... he has HIV right? Morrison will be hated by MMA fans sadly because of this stunt...
Stover said he originally agreed to the bout despite a stipulation against grappling, a big disadvantage for the 340-pound Stover, who outweighed Morrison by 125 pounds. But an hour before the fight, Stover said he was told he would not be allowed to strike Morrison with his knees or feet.
That essentially reduced the bout to a boxing match with five-ounce gloves.
"They changed the rules and I just had to roll with it," Stover said. "I did the best I could do."
The 38-year-old Morrison has been attempting a comeback after an 11-year retirement following the discovery that he was HIV positive.
The fight came one day after Morrison's former agent, Randy Lang, told ESPN.com that Morrison is still HIV positive.

:nonono:
he gives you bad karma cause you dont feel the aforce obviously
Great guy... i havent been here long but you can see with all the love he gets from the members...
Its hard to say... I wont just say Roger Mayweather... it all depends on who has had the most champions to date... and it all depends on the boxer... i dont think roach was good for a fighter like De La Hoya but he is perfect for a guy like Pacquiao's and Tyson's style...
Big names are what the MEDIA want you to know about...people know about big fights and know about boxing because of the Big names... there was and are entertaining fighters that people dont even know about... Aaron Pryor (The Past Overlooked King), Emmanuel Augustus (Not great but entertaining), Jason Litzau, and Miguel Cotto... ask a regular shmoe, but they wont know... boxing is never dead... its just its publicist just sucks...
Who are you talking about?
Just go on and say it.
To answer the question of the thread. I would quit after my first KO loss.
It's okay for a great fighter to get stopped, but it's not ok for one to get knocked the fuck out.
Ditto to that... especially if it was a KO like Kostya Tszyu gave Judah... :owned:
I doubt he is gonna throw much combos.
hes not gonna throw combos... cuz if he stays too close to de la hoya for too long... DLH will throw his left and hit him... Floyd will most likely do his two hits and run... and repeat...

both look good ... i hope bobby can surprise us again!!
I would like to see an upset here... signs point to soto for the win but i think bpac wont make it easy for him...
After the bout, Max Kellerman ridiculously suggested that Floyd won eight or nine rounds. He also said that he had defeated a great fighter that still possessed much of his skills. Max was wrong on both counts. What's new?
LOL!!! MAX KELLERMAN... hahahaha question his credibility? you should! lol
The truth of the matter is that a prime De La Hoya was never as good as the peak Shane Mosely, nor was he as talented as Tito Trinidad. Both defeated Oscar, who at his best was a borderline great boxer, but that was about seven, maybe eight years ago.
Didnt like this tho... DLH should have beaten Trinidad... DLH was just listening to his trainers...
This will be one of the most technical fights that we've seen... sadly... people dont want to see that... and Winky isnt as big of a name as De La Hoya or Mayweather... :puppy_dog
For Floyd... toe-to-toe means hitting a boxer 3 times instead of 1 or 2... then stepping back to do reset... then the same thing over and over again...
Iono... this will be his first "REAL" fight in a year... hes gonna have to run farther, and sprint in spurts... emply roger mayweather, angelo dundee and mickey goldmill... call god and ask for a favor... and hope that he can land a devastating punch... because the odds are clearly against him... Cotto has been active... and hes got a lot of rust (Ruben Galvan fight was garbage... it was practically an pro vs a shmoe)
