i saw this fight last week on tape. tito
really loss this fight and i hate oscar
delahoya. how can you lose to a pretty boy
like oscar delahoya? i thought tito was good
but after this i dont know. I can't stand that
oscar delahoya but the judges ripped him off.
I also believed it was a draw.
I'm with you brother! You said everything there is to say. A toast to you!
ps: and if you don't drink... I'll raise a cup of cool-aid!
Oscar deserved to lose even though I thought he clearly won more rounds. Anyone who bitchedly flees the field of battle deserves to lose IMO.
my man! that's telling 'em. I hear you bro, same here. It was called "The Super FIGHT of the Millinium. Tito came to fight, Oscar got a taste of that lethal left hook and booked!
I had it a draw after 15 times that I saw the fight.
I hear you brother! an honest man. De la Hoya 'WAS" (key word) winning on points. But only by 1 after the 7th round. The September 1999 SUPER FIGHT between Tito and OScar was dubbed THE FIGHT of THE MILLENIUM. in which Tito came to fight and De la Hoya was content with winning on point like a whimp. It was a Draw. And for the record....I was rooting for Tito!
Mexicans dont like Oscar because he doenst block punches with his face like Chavez and Morales.
Chavez had good subtle head movement, he slipped and rolled with more shots than it may have seemed.

What rock have you been under?
not his fault... he was simply following his corner... he won that fight regardless if he ran the last rounds... he was playing it safe... and it bit him in the ass...
That's a misconception.
Watch the fight and you clearly hear his corner tell him to "box, box, box" and told him "no more rounds like that" after round 10 when he ran, but he ran more anyway in rounds 11 and 12. Unless when the cameras were off they told him "box, and run, run".
But Oscar was tired, so maybe he had to run.
Still, I had Oscar slightly ahead after 12.

I dont think so!!! he slacked off at the tail end of the fight and he knows it himself!!!

Officially its a loss on Oscar's record, but I dare you to find one non-puerto rican that thinks Tito really won the fight. Oscar made Tito look foolish for the first 9 rounds, easily.
dude, it was a draw. I was rooting for Tito Trinidad.
hell no. what the hell those 1st 3 rounds where the most lopsided rouds of the whole fight, did u watch the fight?
As lopsided as the last three rounds? I don't think so. What fight did you watch?
That's true but that's not on how they judge boxing, boxing is juged by a point system, so if DLH wins the first 9 and loses the others without knockdowns means he wins the fight, that are the rules, i know a champions should do that but that aren't the rules, the rules are who wins the most rounds and i believe DLH did that and at worst it was a draw.
The 10 point must system only requires you to give 10 points to the winner (minus any point deductions by the ref) but doesn't require a 9 to the loser nor one point deducted from that for each KD. You are allowed to give a fighter a 10-5 round, even with no KDs, if that is how you see the fight. People don't do it, but it's not against the rules to do so. So, if a judge gave Oscar the first 9 rounds by a score of 10-9 and then gave Tito rounds 10-12 by a score of 10-7 (not bad scoring if you look at how bad DLH ran) then the fight would be a draw. There would be no arguing the legality of that scorecard, either.
oscar, even though he ran last 3rds, deserved that decision. he put a clinic on tito. i think tito must've known that as well. why else did he look like a little kid on christmas morning when the decision was announced? sugar shane had that same look in his 2nd fight w/dlh when the decision was announced. merry christmas.
I had the fight a draw people need to learn how to score fights and not depend on inaccurate playstation gamepad using compubox.
judge each round as a 3 minute fight. and dont fall for the 10 second warning and DLH throwing flurries that dont land as winning the rounds.
You're just saying that, because you're a fan of Tito Trinidad..
I thought DLH definetly won in his fight againts Tito if it were just based on points. He pussed out and ran and it sucked but he still won that fight based on points. DLH DEFINITELY lost againts Sturm. He was getting jabbed all night. I knew DLH was going to get the decision. Don't tell me yall thought Sturm was gonna get it. After all it is Boxing.
well i had the match a draw de la hoya should never of givin up those rounds but even so tito still should not of won that fight and by the way things look we will never see a rematch
