Bloody hell it should have been a wake up call for Ricky to realise he was truly shot when a 60 year old 5'5 guy with no fighting experience whatsoever can catch you with a punch You never expect your own father to punch you on your face, no matter how bad the situation has turned out to be. You don't prepare for something like that, ever! Don't try to clown around here trying to make fun of other people's tough situations bro.
Before his last fight, we didn't know anything about him. After his last win against a nobody from lightweight, now we are listening every crap he does in his life. Can the media get that he is a hypejob? He's a half boxer; great offensive skills, exactly the opposite defensively, and his chin doesn't do any favors to him. He's just a good boxer with speed. How many I've seen like that and they just disappear within one or two more losses...
The only thing I criticize about boxing is those promoters issues. Paul Williams was one of the best boxers around, and he couldn't find the best opposition to make big fights because he wasn't a big draw, so it was a nothing to win-everything to lose for fighters and promoters putting up those kind of fights. He will always be missed and remembered. War Punisher!
Manny is letting us know that he won't beat Miguel Cotto at his weight. First, at 147 made him go down to 145 and beat the **** out of Miguel. He's still the same Miguel and wants him to go dow from 154 to 147. Manny is letting us know that he's afraid of Miguel Cotto if he's not weight-drained. That's very clear!
The title of the article has no relation with what I actually read regarding the Rogan quotes. Actually, Rogan is not crazy about what he said. We know what Conor is capable of. The only difference is, will he capitalize when the opportunities present themselves? This is where Floyd separates himself from the rest of the league. He won't let you dictate the pace of the fight, and he always manages to make the opponent fight his way...
Bunch of ignorants tryin to diss Ortiz because of that, and I'm convinced that those who criticized him won't even stand a punch on the nose by a 3 year old baby...
Stfu u midget. Mexicans fail drug test in boxing and blame it on tainted beef. Maybe your soccer team should use some steroids, they probably wouldn't have lost to Honduras lastnight. Exactly, and I would like him to tell me how many Puerto Ricans have failed a drug test in sports...
Is the fight at a catch weight? Knowing Cotto it won't surprise me. Well, if you are an every day reader, you should've known that the fight will be at the max weight limit. Cotto said he doesn't have any problem with the weight. I don't think you know Cotto that much yet...
I don't know why you guys put Compubox as a judge for a 12 round decision. If a boxer hits 200 punches in a fight, and the other hits 175, it doesn't mean the one with 200 punches won the fight. That's why you score rounds and not the fight at the end, because maybe a boxer hit 50 of those 200 punches in a single round. What about the other 11? You see?
I would have been upset too if the main event was someone only popular in argentina with a high guard all night and the other guy is not popular in the east coast and he comes out to wear all pink on fight night. Do you know that he wore pink because is the month of standing up against cancer? I think you do. Maybe you've seen enough NFL this month to realize it...
Everybody talking about the weight advantage for Canelo. Victor Ortiz is about the same size as Canelo: 5'9" and comes in to the ring at about 165 pounds with better lateral movements than Canelo. Canelo would be an easier target, cuz Canelo has the same type of defense that Ortiz has. With all of the surprises throughout this year, it won't be a surprise if Lopez pulls it off. He now has that confidence that he can beat Class B fighters, and Canelo is one of those...
Bob Arum, shoving the WBA boxing rankings up the president's and the top contenders' sttub once again. A lot of boxers sacrificing themselves through the rankings for years in order to get their chance, and this clown doing whatever the uckf he wants to do with boxing, by even wrapping the gift for this still amateur boxer. In order words, not earned! What a shame!
How disrespectful is this guy against Peterson. How can u say that it is "likely" that Khan will win? Yes, we all know how good Khan is, but nobody gave Prescott any probability to win against Khan and we all know what happened. Watch the words u write, Peterson got two quick hands, too. In boxing, anything can happen...
I hope that every person that weighs in on the opportunity to become a pro at boxing, thinks the same way as Marquez did, and like Juan Diaz. Make sure you get prepared academically, so if you don't do good in boxing, you can still search for a job in what you studied for. Excellent!
The one to blame for this is the judge that gave his scorecard to Marquez. He was the one who made Marquez believe he had a shot of winning the rest of the scorecards, and by that, the championship. In my opinion, Marquez won 116-112, 8 rounds to 4, with Bradley almost scoring a 10-8 12th round with that left hook before the bell. Bradley dominated from start to finish, and was the clear winner in everyone's eyes, besides Marquez, Beristain and that blind judge...
Another boxing trainer on the outside looking in. Someone who praise a guy that will kill hisself dropping down 154 but scared of ward, so I guess you want Floyd to stand toe to toe with a guy that 20lb heavier than him Yes. Everybody gives hints on how to beat Money May, of course, from outside the three point line, and when they get to the paint, is another story. And why if he's so boringly predictable with his straight right and duck to the right like that guy says, nobody has ever done ***** in 44 tries? So easy, a caveman could do it. Yeah right!
Both fighters look impressive physically! Peterson looked good on his combinations to the body, and Jean looked like if he gets to fight more experienced fighters like Peterson, he could become one of the future champions of the division, as soon as all the big names from 140 grow up the weight to 147. Peterson won a case for a future unification vs Danny Garcia. It would be a hell of a fight, but a give Garcia the edge with a late stoppage or a close decision. We have to see how Peterson absorbs those Garcia's left hooks to the body and to the chin. Peterson will also go to the body, which will make Garcia box a little more from the middle rounds on, just a little less like he did against Matthysse, since Peterson has power, but not as much as Matthysse. I think it will turn out to be a classic, maybe fight of the year!
People blaming Cotto for not squeezing to 147. If you didn't know, Miguel Cotto has had weight issues since he was a kid, weighing around 150 when he was 10 years old. I would rather make weight at I higher weight class and be a pro, than trying to squeeze to lower weight classes and not make the weight stipulated (Mikey Garcia, Broner @130, the king of irresponsibles Joan Guzman, etc.).
She is sexy, but I heard her speak and her tongue is already getting heavy so you know there is some damage there probably form hard sparring.
But her feat is a joke, Womens boxing is horrible, there is like two good fighters in each division, in mens boxing you the top 50 are all killers, rising stars, amateur stars rising the ranks
anyone can win a belt in womens boxing its that bad.
She basically just collected another vacant belt. Have you ever heard about the word "relativity" in your life bro?
She looks like she's been photoshopped into all the pics :lol1: Man, as soon as I saw the pictures, I told my wife the same thing, and as soon as I said that comment to her, I see this comment. She looks like she doesn't belong to any of the pictures, for real lol!
Go live in Puerto Rico Danny Garcia and take up citizenship there. If you're born in America - you're an American. If you don't want to embrace that, then go move somewhere else. I might as well call myself English because my roots are from there. That's the problem with this country everyone wants to be from somewhere else - there's no unity. In what way does Danny's comment or decision affect you? What's the problem on being born in one country and feel being part of another country because of your own family? In case you don't know, Puerto Ricans are as Americans as white Americans, Black Americans, Hawaiians, etc, and, The American race is not a pure race like Chinese people or Indians, so, wtf you talking about? If Danny feels that way, so be it. Life will go on. And another thing, yes we will embrace Danny here at Puerto Rico. A whole lot of people speaks English here at the island, so, communication between Danny and the fans here at Puerto Rico will be OK.
Don't be surprised by DAZN's next announcement: "GGG vs Chavez Jr. at 168 for the WBC Huichol Belt"...
That would be the 168 fight that "makes sense" for GGG if he moves up in weight.
Fighters are made by beating champions out of their comfort zones, something that Golovkin hasn't done in his lifelong middleweight career.
Some fighters go way down in weight, others go way up.
I remember some years ago when talks about GGG-Kovalev were hot, while Canelo was still a 154 pounder.
Canelo is going 21 pounds north to face Sergey, while GGG is still a middleweight.
I don't know what can we say about GGG after he retires, other than he was a great middleweight with only two good-great opponents on his resume (Jacobs, Canelo).
