These guys are both embarrassments. At least Haye can go away now. But Wlad's still a ***** and we have to deal with him for another few years. I hope he retires.
Pavlik naturally has the frame and the strength to be a light heavyweight, and Calzaghe had been a SMW his whole career, so it's really not the same thing at all.
I'd like to see Cotto fight Collazo, and have Clottey and Williams fight for a shot at a rematch with Margarito. I have no idea what Margarito would do in the downtime, but that kind of eliminator has always made sense to me.
He;s got all the ingredients. Lots of heart, can punch, no defense. He's gotta win fights like the one with Casamayor to be considered a Gatti type guy.
If I was Diaz, I'd be worried about getting cut too after the Campbell fight.
No matter what gloves they wear, I still think Diaz wins. He always bounces back after bad fights, and even though Katsidis is tough, he has absolutely no defense. He'll get beat up just like he did against Casamayor.
I heard about Arum negotiating the fight with Williams, and that sounds retarded. I like Williams, but he doesn't stand a chance against Pavlik. He's good at welterweight because of his size advantage. His punches won't do shit to Pavlik, and his size advantage will be a lot smaller.
I remember reading about a fight wear he looked awful early in his career (didn't see it, so I really shouldn't have included it), but then he came back with a real good performance afterward. Like I said, didn't see it, but I guess it's something to take into consideration.
I'm not really a big fan of Hatton, but I can see what he means about not wanting to trade styles. I think he takes pride in being a tough, gritty guy, as opposed to being a highly skilled guy like Mayweather that doesn't really want to go out of his way to take people out, like he could have against Baldomir.
I love Williams, but I think Marg takes the rematch, now that he's started to get off to faster starts. I think they both got better since the first fight, so it should be a real exciting fight.
