Marvin Hagler was the master of switching hands during fights. He could beat you either way and used it as a tactic to keep the opponent off balance.
Most modern fighters don't seem to use it as much since they stick to more well defined styles. Marvin Hagler's style was Marvin Hagler and that was certainly a plus when it comes to mixing it up.
What an awesome quote. Ricky Hatton is about the only British fighter I can respect. The man had decent skills and he respects others skills even if he doesn't like the guy.
You obviously did. Khan was constantly looking over to the ref when Peterson was coming in with his head. But the ref did nothing. He also failed to warn Peterson for low blows.
Dude, it's only illegal to come in with your head if you are dropping your head below the waist. Plenty of great fighters use a low-head strategy to get inside: Tyson, Holyfield, Bradley (questionable), Frazier, and even Pryor used the technique. You need to read the rules more. Khan was *****ing about something that wasn't even an issue. Also there was no purposeful low-blows and not enough of them to be an issue. You sound like Amir Khan yourself making **** up.
Everybody needs to take a solemn, quiet moment to shed a single tear for the injustice done to Amir Khan.

Here is Charlie Zelenoff's official website, with an account of this fight. You may also want to check out his official boxrec and P4P list: http://officialubf.blogspot.com/
LMAO at his P4P list. I love the picture of him at number one. This dude is classic!
Charles is improving! He has goood form, now he just needs to get over his fear of taking punches to the face.
Are you kidding me, the dude's form is horrible. How can you be on this boxing forum and actually think that CharlieZ has form. He would get knocked out by any competent boxer with all that flailing around. He is also a puzzy who needs to sucker punch an old man. I hope you were sarcastic, because you lost all your credibility with that statement.
"Floyd and Pacman both came by today to spar and I knocked them both out!" -Canelo
Oscar - "Yes indeed, anything you say my golden goose. Let me spread your message far and wide."
:Thinkingo
Knocked out and knocked down are two different things. I wonder if Canelo decided to exaggerate a bit.
Floyd proved he is number one. He finally showed the world he can take a punch and still come back for the win. That alone in my mind was all he was missing. Now I know for a fact he is a complete boxer.
From an objective view
Mares threw so many low blows I thought I was watching some noobs on Fight Night playing.
My buddy told me that the ref is notorious for being an *******. Even so he was amazed and we both agree he should be fired for that ****.
Shame about the "plastic wrap" needed to avoid the ensuing torrid of your spunk lol!!!
You made me lol. I've seen the man's lust for Khan in other threads. I bet he is the president of the Amir Khan Fan Club.
Agreed, the dude has the emotional level of a child. Still he is the best boxer I have ever seen. It really is amazing he is able to conduct himself in such a calm, composed, and calculating manner when fighting and then act like this out of the ring.
When the corner for Cintron was asking him where he was you knew that it was over. Strangely enough both fighters looked heavily winded by the end of the fight.
Danny Garcia failed to impress me in that fight. He looked decent but if he would have been more aggressive and thrown more, he would have knocked him out. He had one HUGE opportunity and threw it away.
He's right.
Canelo is allowed to duck his mandatory in Kirkland.
Canello is allowed to fight the loser of Molina-Cintron.
I can't believe how people don't see this and isn't speaking up about it.
But oh wait, Canello is just a baby, right. He needs time to grow? That's the pass a lot of people like to give him. But how is Team Canelo ready to face Mayweather and Pacquiao (#1/#2 P4P), but guys on boxingscene say it's ok for him not to fight Kirkland.
This is another episode of the Twi-light Zone.
I think the point here is that both of these so called champions need to fight. Just because Alvarez is still getting coddled, doesn't mean that Jr. should get off. At least one of those paper champions is going to have to fight. Canelo should have to as well, but forcing this on Jr. is a great start.
manny is trying to become president we don't need floyd mayweather.
Exactly. They know that Manny couldn't win the presidential election if he loses to Floyd. It's all about the politics.
I'm afraid Cintron is way too damaged to change his style now. He keeps getting brutally beat on and I don't think he has much life as a boxer left in him.
this guy didn't tear Floyd a new one, or even two new ones, he tore Floyd three or four new ones. Jesus...its funny how in the beginning Floyd says he respects other people's chosen profession, then later when he lets DJ Rude Jude get the best of him, he attempts to bash Rude Jude for being a radio DJ, pathetic.
Both Floyd and the radio DJ were pathetic. There was no winner in that interview. The host lost all credibility when he called Ricky Hatton a bum and then pulled the race card by saying that **** about white people buying the fight. Both of them looked like immature losers and if you didn't notice it, then you might need to check your maturity level. That was on the same level as Jerry Springer.
Joe Frazier has always been one of my favorite heavyweights. I always liked him more than Ali. You will be missed my friend, may you find peace in eternal rest.
Agreed he looked very winded. He did miss quite a few punches but I don't see why he was so winded. Boy needs to do his roadwork. Also like you said a conditioning coach is needed to help him deal with that heavy frame of his.
Pacquiao is a Class Act, and one thing is for sure. He will not get type of interviews coz there's nothing negative about him.
Only floydiots has imaginary things in there mind. So let them be..
The interview was simple truth and nothing's wrong with it!
Even if he wanted to mouth off, Arum wouldn't let his pet monkey do it. Arum is glad Manny is such a nice guy, because playing the white knight has made him a ton of money. Say what you want about Floyd but he sure plays the heel well.
Also Pacman had a mistress too, it's not like he is perfect. You guys act like he has never made a mistake. The man is human too.
If you get Mayweather riled up and say things like that, what do you think he is gonna say? He obviously doesn't know **** about boxing because he says he is boring to watch. Also if you wanna make Mayweather get irrational then go ahead and not respect this legacy.
I think Mayweather can act like a ****ing moron sometimes, but he is the most arrogant yet the most insecure person I have ever seen. The dude has massive emotional issues, sometimes he even seems to be on the edge of crying in frustration. Point said, that ****ing DJ was a moron and didn't know anything. Provoking Mayweather like that is not going to get an interview, instead you get this crap which is similar to something off of Jerry Springer.
That fool needs to call up Manny and ask him the same ****, because they are both responsible for it. At least Mayweather has the balls to make the last move and set down some ideas for the fight. Morons like this DJ and that Skip fool on ESPN make the average boxing fan look like a dip****. You may not like Money but at least respect his unbelievable skills in the ring.
Also comparing Floyd to Ali is sad, because Ali was easily as bad as Floyd is. Ali used all kinds of dirty tricks when it came to throwing off the opponent. People need to read their history.
Larry Merchant is a bum and a disgrace to the sport. My dad don't even like the guy and they are from the same era. Merchant seems to allow boxers personalities to effect his opinion. He doesn't like arrogant fighters and gives them a hard time. This kind of bull**** is not journalism but bullying.
Nice to see a fighter standing up for their rights. Khan was robbed, plain and simple. If fighters are allowed help from referees then no one should complain when guys like the Klitchkos and Foyd Mayweather take steroids for their fights. Peterson was on PER's. Performance Enhancing Referee
You are one of the craziest commentors I have seen on the net. Every reply you come up with is bat**** crazy. Kind of like your idol, David Haye.
