Ah you ****ed me up with the wording Reed! If you asked "Who is number one p4p?" I would say Floyd. But asking "who deserves to be p4p" might make me say Pacman. Floyd is the better fighter IMO, but Pac has been doing more to prove he is the best. Damn wording! :lol1:
It's Mayweather. He was p4p #1 before he left. When he retired Pac took the top spot but with Mayweather coming back and outclassing Mosley and Marquez he has earned his spot back. Mayweather is the best p4p, the real question is who is the best Welter.
And pacs recent wins agains ODLH(Floyd already beat at 154), Hatton ( Floyd already beat) Cotto (catchweight), and Clottey(sparring session) was that impressive lol!
They certainly pick and choose whose careers are impressive,eh? Loads of double standards....
the vote for p4p bum goes to...:

Anyone who thinks Mayweather's performances should bring him to P4P 1 is a ****ing crackhead who knows nothing about boxing.
Pac has devastated people recently. DEVASTATED THEM. Mayweather has won two UDs against two opponents with a combined age of 80 and nearly got KTFO.
Pac > Mayweather.
Boxing scene, ESPN, Yahoo n now SI have floyd number 1 in their p4p ratings...only ring has pacquiao as #1 on their p4p list but also they have said in their blog its a "coin flip" about whos no 1, its very close..
ESPN has Pac as #1, so is the Ring. So you have a mainstream sports media, and the boxing's premiere magazine placing Pac as #1. Which doesn't surprise me because Doug Fischer, Nigel Collins are more biased for Pac. The same goes for Dan Rafael of ESPN
Kevin Iole of Yahoo is a major Floyd nuthugger. Cut from the same cloth as David Mayo. They both placed Mayweather as #1 as early as last year when Floyd won his fight against Marquez. So that doesn't suprise me that much either.
SI is more of MMA site, but I think they are a little impartial. But there are other websites like Secondsout (Tom Hauser) and Maxboxing still thinks Pac is still #1. So the consensus is still split among media as to who is P4P#1.
Pacquiao........Floyd has not beaten him yet .....And since returning from retirement Floyd should not have been on P4P list.
think of it like this
pac got the #1 spot because floyd left, pac never beat anybody to get that title. now that floyd is back and is doing his thing he gets his #1 spot back

You guys fall for this well thought plan of DLH and Flyod to get back to #1 spot by taking short cut without fighting Pac.
After fake retirement to duck Cotto, Margarito, younger Mosley, Williams, Flyod came back to fight blown up Marquez, then beat a 39yr old done after 2nd round Mosley!!! Now Flyod is P4P#1? Give me a fukin break!!!!
Flyod needs to drop the unnessary blood testing crusade and fight Pac if he wants to be P4P#1, NO FREAKING SHORTCUT!!!
I didn't mention anything about the results... you're aware of that, right?
I like to reserve a bet if it gets done.
100M on Pacquiao againts Mayweather. Kindly sig it to confirm. Thanks
you're aware that people are still high on the floyd victory right?
make this poll after a pac fight and the results will be reversed (and vice-versa obviously).

400+ votes... wow.

Who deserves the true #1 P4P Spot?
Pacquiao........Floyd has not beaten him yet .....And since returning from retirement Floyd should not have been on P4P list.
I think we're all getting a little ahead of ourselves with putting Mayweather up there--
actually, never mind. Now that I think about it. You can make a case for both. It's just that I think Pacquiao edges him by a smidge.
Mayweather decisions 154 Oscar>Pacquiao TKO8 147 Oscar
Mayweather TKO10 147 Hatton Pacquiao decisions Clottey
Between those four pairings, Mayweather's best wins were, in my opinion, Oscar and Shane. The fight against Oscar was statistically one-sided, but Oscar actually tried to box with him and gave him some fits, at least watching the fight it seemed that way. Not sure where Oscar was ranked at 154 at the time, though. The significance of it was that Mayweather added another belt (and a new weight class) to his long line of weight class dominations.
Then you have Mayweather over Mosley. Mayweather took on WW #1 and
p4p #3. He took on a legitimate threat, a real 147 pounder who could hit and had speed, Mayweather got hurt, recuperated and then put on a clinic by actually STALKING the guy. How much more could you ask from him? This was a big win.
On the other hand, you have Hatton being knocked out in 2 rounds by Pacquiao. Although many of us had Pacquiao as the favorite, nobody actually expected such a devastating result, especially at Hatton's weight class. Here there were no excuses, Hatton was at 140 and got knocked out. He wasn't damaged goods after Mayweather, he just got read by a devastating southpaw named Manny Pacquiao. That is all.
Then you have Pacquiao's win over Cotto. My only gripe with it, perhaps because of nationality, was that it was contracted two pounds under the 147 pounds. Regardless, Manny put on a spectacular performance over one of the top welterweights. Pacquiao got tagged, showed his chin, stayed on the ropes, weathered the storm, and annihilated Cotto over the course of 11 and a half rounds.
So, what do you say? Do you prefer Mayweather's finesse over a healthy Oscar and recuperative rally against Shane or do you prefer Pacquiao's destructive results over Hatton and Cotto?
I'm a guy who enjoys Mayweather and I'd probably pick him when the fight is signed, but I don't see how Mayweather is suddenly #1 with his recent win. It was a huge win, but Cotto/Hatton being mauled by Pacquiao is still something that I haven't been able to fathom. I have Mayweather in 2nd, but it's a very tight, very close second. He's right on Pacquiao's heels. I still understand if someone puts Mayweather in the top spot, though. These two guys are in a class of their own.
I truly hope this fight comes to pass because everybody will be watching...EVERYBODY!!! :boxing:
