WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan is preparing for his upcoming title defense against Paulie Malignaggi on May 15 at New York's Madison Square Garden. Khan took some time out of his camp to discuss the biggest fight in boxing, Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao.

Khan is trained by Freddie Roach, who also handles Pacquiao. The British champion is friends with both fighters. He thinks it's a very tough fight but Pacquiao should come out on top.

"I know them both well and they both want to fight. Who would win? That's a tough one but I'd say Manny. He's more aggressive and I think he'd take Mayweather into an uncomfortable zone where he hasn't been for a very long time. Floyd likes to control a fight but so does Manny and he has a higher work rate," Khan said to GQ Magazine.

If the Mayweather-Pacquiao dream fight happens, Khan wants a crack at the winner. If Pacquiao wins, it puts their mutual trainer Roach in an uncomfortable position. Last year, Roach said that he would do everything in his power to prevent Pacquiao and Khan from fighting each other.

"If things go well, I could end up fighting the winner. This game's all about timing. You have to know the best time to have these big fights. I want to catch these guys when they have come off their peak," Khan said.
