just wasted 10 minutes of my life reading all of the opinions of idiots on here.
This fight will sell, like all Floyd's fights do, and him and Khan will be getting paid.
This fight is also going to be more entertaining than floyds last 5, so don't know why people are complaining.
It's mind blowing the hate a boxer who has won titles in 2 divisions (khan) gets on this site from a bunch of bums typing on their computer, half of whom have probably never boxed in their lives.
Even Devon Alexander is a better more meaningful fight than that worthless affair. Who the hell would be dumb enough to cough up money for such trash??
I'd pay to see this for sure, along with a million other people.
See how floyd deals with Khans speed, reach and jab - not to mention showtimes coverage would be entertaining. Would be about 10x more fun than a fight with Devon.
If its not Pac/JMM 5 you gotta think they go for light hitting bradley after that big KO loss.
Provodnikov vs. Rios and Alvarado vs. Marquez. Not too many options out there for Bob.
Haha yes I want to believe that! And that's maybe why it's so hilarious each time.
I don't agree with the second statement in Bold man, Khan-Brook is as big as these fights if not bigger given their rivalry and the crown of UK involved.
A huge UK fight yes, not as big in the states as those other names mentioned and Brook doesn't look as good on his resume as a win over those other guys. You can't deny that Brook has one solitary notable win in his 30 some fights, and that was a pretty close one with Porter.
I hope we don't get Algieri, Khan will catch hell on these internet boards for that haha. But if you're honest about it that would be a great a boxing match. 2 rangy athletes with skills. If algieri can get a fight with Pac, Khan fighting him isn't horrendous. Also he beat quality fighters in Ruslan and Emmanuel Taylor. There is a double standard with Khan, if he doesn't fight a power puncher he is ducking a fight, this doesn't seem to apply with any other fighter. Still hope we don't get an algiers fight.
You sound mad doe!
Why else, assuming you're a Brit off course, would you be so interested in discrediting Khan's chances of a Floyd fight which is ultimately much more desirable for British boxing both commercially and in raising its profile in the country?
Unless off course, like already deduced you're mad! And I suppose maybe due to racial reasons as you felt the need to include 'viva Pakistan' at the end of your comment even though Khan is British and has won a silver medal at the Olympics for this country.
But it's okay, unlike others who are suffering from delusion I know Khan doesn't have a chance, but neither does Chino of beating Floyd. But as a Brit I prefer the Khan fight, one reason being to keep ignorant b1tches like you in check.
who's the babe in that pic?
And agree with this post...kinda odd and confusing why so many people are so upset at a guy for trying to fight the biggest name in the world and get paid for what he does for a living.
They should know by now that deserving a floyd fight doesn't get you one, then he wouldn't have faced his last bunch of opponents - beside Cotto.
Khan does put his foot in his mouth constantly, but he is a boxer not a politician, who cares. A lot of hate going on here hahaha
No Thurman I see. Will he ever get a crack at a top guy or what.
Khan also has potential match-ups closer to home. "I'd like to also fight guys like Keith Thurman and the winner of Shawn Porter and Kell Brook. That would be amazing."
Sheffield's Kell Brook, unbeaten in 32 contests, challenges Porter for the International Boxing Federation crown in California on Aug 16.
"Kell has to get past that fight and I think it will show what Kell is made of. If he wins, a fight between me and Kell would be huge in England and America. I'm game for anyone, right now. Any big fight."

I can't believe how many people are wanting Floyd to fight Khan.
Your avatar does. And he thinks Khan is only boxer who has a chance to beat Floyd. I might not agree with him...but he prob doesn't know much about the sport I guess

Great fight, couple slow rds but some high drama. Rigo picks apart Mares. A rematch would be fun, Nonito would have to be aggressive and i think it would end in a knockout prob of Nonito. Rigo is just a master technician, handled a top p4p guy with relative ease. Didn't look hurt by that knockdown either.
Really not a fan of neither. But to be honest it gets kinda OLD seeing u FANS with no boxing experience trying to say who would be hurt and who wouldn't.
I dont care if u punch like Paulie its the punches u never see that do the damage. It sends a shock through your body/brain and your equilibrium goes corky. Was the dude a hard puncher? Maybe not but all his body weight was behind it a long with a good turn of the hips. It would have rocked a lot of fighters. SO please u wannabes stop saying that wouldn't hurt any other fighter u guys are just retards.
Idk who all has been hit by 8 OZ gloves or even 10 OZ but it hurts. Ive taken my licks and id be a idiot to say that shot wouldn't hurt.
On a side note I believe Ortiz could have at least attempted to beat the count and took the 60 sec rest to see where he was before calling it.
Thank you. Short hook he didnt see landed right on the button and w/ a repaired jaw...but i guess everyone has a right to their opinion.
It's more Khan's reluctancy to take the damn fight than Brook's achievements that leads people to say that Amir is scared. In reality I think it's equally winnable for both of them. Maybe Khan even has the benefit of the doubt.
Sure. I agree, he's def not helping himself out with some of these statements, but Khan has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth and some of his remarks dont come off the way he imagines they will. That said, I don't believe for a minute he is scared of Kell. If you look at the history b/w them and Khan and the Hearns, I think he just doesn't want to do them any favors. Of course there is a belt which is hearns biggest bargaining chip, but these days belts dont mean as much.
I mean a Broner or bradley/ Cotto,(pretty improbable) are much bigger fights imo.

What are these solid losses? When Andre Berto sparked him in one round or when Lara dominated him? Or which?
People are actually talkin up Hernendez now ridiculous.
Collazo would be a tough fight for any WW today? What alternative universe am i living in?!
------------------------------------------------------------------
I said losses to top fighters, not tough losses - but you can twist the words around if it makes you feel more confident in your opinion.
No one is really talking up Freddie - it was in response to some fan on the computer calling him a bum. No one who has earned the opportunity to step in the ring with guys like Lara and Berto is a bum. And don't say Berto is a bum, he may not have reached the potential some people set for him but few boxers who got the backing he did have.
And yes Collazo is a seasoned vet, he's not gonna lay down for anyone. Sure he would be relatively easy work for floyd but so is almost any boxer alive
He is IRANIAN
No he's not, his mom is a Parsi, Parsis came to india from iran prob 1000 years ago to avoid persecution from Muslims. His dad is an indian christian.
Ethnically he is part persian you could say, but they wouldn't identify with a country that persecuted them.
been seeing lots of trainers and fighters interested in how this fight will play out, and some that even give khan somewhat of a chance (roach, rjj, paulie m, swift, robert garcia , bradley...)
The people i see trashing this fight are fans, journalists who've never boxed (rafael) and bitter fighters who either lost to Khan or floyd (robert guerrero, zab, victor ortiz)
I personally, like most people, dont see Floyd ever losing, but besides a fight w/ Pac or bradley which cant happen and maybe thurman or ortiz down the line - i think Khan is honestly the best fight we can get and will most definitely be the most entertaining.
Not too sure why fans are so concerned w/ who is deserving of a fight.
who's the babe in that pic?

Ask yourself a simple question. If Golden Boy had guaranteed a fight with Mayweather to Khan, why would Khan be begging for the fight?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/boxing/amir-khan/10645734/Amir-Khan-starting-to-have-doubts-whether-Floyd-Mayweather-title-bout-will-go-ahead.html
Quote from above article....
"At one time, I thought I was 100 per cent to get the fight. Then Maidana's name popped up, but I still thought, you know, Broner and Mayweather are close, so it won't happen..."
sounds like Amir thought he had it wrapped up. I'm sure he is regretting not taking the Alexander fight now. That would have been a tough fight imo, but Devon is not a fighter someone would duck especially w/ him holding the ibf strap at the time.
What has Brook shown that people think this is not a very winnable fight for Amir? Brook is a solid 147 with pretty good power, but he is basic. Brook has power with his short straight shots, I've never seen Khan bothered by those punches, only wide winging shots he doesnt see (maidana 10th rd), Garcias left hook.
Of course Brook has a punchers chance, but not a very good one in my estimation. I would not be surprised if he got shut out and didn't land anything of consequence with this Virgil Hunter trained Khan. He is too basic for Khan imo. He also looked slow footed in the Dan fight. I hope Khan takes this fight this year, don't see what the big rush is tho.
Are there any muslims in Bollywood are they allowed to act in there ?
Most of the most popular actors in Bollywood are Muslim. Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan etc
Of course the ranking is laughable. But if Khan can beat the winner of this so called tourney - prob Garcia or Matts imo, he will be right in line for a PBF payday. He's beaten Paulie, Maidana who are both at 147 now. His only recent loss is a KO to Garcia, don't consider the loss to peterson that damaging bc of the ped's and everything else that happened in that fight.
Have and huge UK fight w/ Brook then put PBF vs Khan in Wembley - obviously would be an attractive fight for the general public w/ huge $
Well he's only fought bums since Berto, including Hernadez and lost to him soundly.
He hasn't even looked good in most of his wins against bums.
To think that Collazo at this stage of his career would give any WW a tough fight is ridiculous. Like I said, a better version of him lost comfortably to Hernandez who's frankly awful.
Freddie Hernandez is not a bum...he's got some good wins and losses to solid top fighters.
I think all fans should stop calling pro boxers bums...u don't hear that word used too often for other sports, and they're not in there w/ the imminent risks and dangers that boxers are.
Luis would be a tough fight for any ww...not saying I'd favor him to beat a lot of them, considering its the deepest division at the moment...but like someone else said, we'll see, i'm sure golden boy will reward him w/ a good opportunity.
Peterson took the testosterone before the fight w/ Khan - why hasn't that been changed to a NC? It was a real close fight, with the steroids and questionable pt deductions i thought he still edged it. Think Khan actually has a easy time with Peterson if they fight again. Danny will be a tough fight, prob have to give the edge to Danny until we see any solid improvements from Khan.
OMG !! John Abraham is a Bollywood legend !!
And he is not, I repeat NOT an INDIAN.
Kind of ironic you saying he's not an indian right above quotes of other posters saying Khan is not British....dumb ass.
If Khan was a more disciplined fighter he would have a shot. He has shown the speed and footwork to oupoint a guy like Floyd. Although his last two fights it appears he has regressed.
its former self.
i agree. Though I would say that in the fights that Khan goes in with a healthy respect of his opponent (zab, maidana, even Paulie being his first US fight and Paulie being a big name) he is a lot more aware and cautious and fights more under control and disciplined. So i doubt we see Khan throw those thought-less wild combos like you saw in the Garcia fight against floyd.
And i dont think Khan is slowing down, he's only 27 or something, those last two fights, especially Diaz, had more to do with him adjusting to Hunters instructions and over thinking against a veteran.
I know everyone who writes here is very much against this fight, but i'll be looking forward to it...if anything bc/ floyd is gonna have to show us something he hasn't had to in his recent fights.
