How's it that danny garcia isn't on the p4p list if he's the ring wbc and WBA champ, koed the number over ranked guy at 140 and broner is placed number 5? I like broner alot but danny has a better resume and should atleast be 10th. IMO it's 1)floyd 2)ward 3)Marquez 4)nonito 5)sergio 6(pacquiao 7)wlad klit. 8)tim Bradley 9)abner mares 10)danny garcia. If garcia beats judah and the winner of matthysse-Peterson no doubt he should be in the top 5.
There is no "The pound for pound list". There is as many pfp. lists as there are people that want to make one. If you are talking about the Ring Magazine pfp. list then you should say so. PFP is completely different than being champion or being #1 in your weight class. It is based on opinion of how good you think a fighter is for his size even if he has no title. You can rank Garcia as high as you want on your pfp. list because it's your list. I have never had Broner or Khan or Garcia on my top 10 pfp. I think there are enough other fighters that deserve to be rated above them pfp for them to even come close to the top 10. Matthysse is on my top 10 pfp. list and if Garcia can beat Judah and the Peterson-Matthysse winner in good style then I would certainly give him a spot in my top ten pfp. He has not done that yet. I think he will KO Judah and then get KOed by Matthysse.
Garcia, Bradley and Broner over Vilora and Froch :lol1: :lol1:
Viloria has three career losses, not including the one he just caught like 6 hours ago. Bradley is a 2 division champ, undefeated who beat the top guys at 140 when he was there with the exception of Khan who is crawling around in the debris of what was his career. Froch is good but he is a one division fighter....I give bonus points for fighting in different divisions and remaining undefeated.
Froch almost lost to Taylor, he prevailed well but it was a very near loss. Garcia....he is definitely not ahead of any of those guys.
The best names on Garcia's record are Morales, Khan, Holt and Campbell. Morales and Campbell are but a shell of themselves and have been for the past 2 years or so and Holt has been on the slide as well.
So basically, his resume is Khan. This is the guy who has been KTFO twice, lost to Peterson, ducked rematches with all the guys that beat him and just fought a lightweight as a confidence builder.
Now he is fighting Judah, a guy he and the world thinks that he will KO in under 4 rounds but he will struggle in this fight and people will change their opinion of Garcia after this fight.....imo.
Carl Froch 8-2 vs these guys he should be on the list
Yusaf Mack
Lucian Bute
Andre Ward
Glen Johnson
Arthur Abraham
Mikkel Kessler
Andre Dirrell
Jermain Taylor
Jean Pascal
Albert Rybacki
I never understood why people highlight losses :Flush: (particularly pertaining Carl Froch) as if they increased P4P status, ridiculous.
Yusaf Mack (lol)
Lucian Bute (glass chinned hype job w/no notable wins)
Andre Ward (LOSS)
Glen Johnson (shot hard-chinned old man w/a thousand losses)
Arthur Abraham (middleweight orangutan)
Mikkel Kessler (LOSS)
Andre Dirrell (LOSS/robbery win)
Jermain Taylor (shot middleweight, almost lost wide)
Jean Pascal (green)
Albert Ryback (who?)
Maybe at #9/10 tops, but he certainly deserves to be there over a lot of people on the Ring list (namely Broner & Guerrero).
He may one day be p4p when people expect him to beat everyone he fights, but for now he has been underdog and caused upsets, like against Khan. So people havent thought too much of him.
For now its a case of hes better than we expected him to be. Just like BH was underdog a lot cos of his age, but BH went onto win, so people underestimated BH cos of his age, but dont make BH a top 10 p4p fighter.
Yeah, Viloria has just left my p4p list as he took a brutal beating toward the end of his fight against Estrada. It looked to me like he'd either taken Estrada too lightly or he's passed his best. Either way, he's gone from my top ten after just sliding in with his last win.

Khan wasnt #1 at 140
I'm not about to put Danny Garcia on my top 10 p4p list.
If he wins the tournament I definitely will. So far he's only beaten Khan and Holt. He needs to beat a few more good and/or great fighters before he goes on my p4p list, the tournament is giving him the opportunity.
viloria just got whooped on
what you said based on resume he should be on the list? but then you have someone like floyd at the top when guys have better resumes than him out there and are active right now?
its all politics
I will tell you right now donaire, ward and martinez should be the top 3 based on resume and how active they are right now
then you have guys like floyd, marquez, pac, froch and bradley who deserve a spot after them in no order
WHAT?!?!? That's some BULLSH1T!!! HBO says it's airing the fights at 2pm!
Damn it I missed it!!!! I'm so mad at them. this sucks!

Garcia's only big win is Khan.
Garcia has done good so far, but that's why he belongs on the 140 list not the p4p list. He needs to beat some more elite fighters to enter p4p territory. So many more far deserving fighters out there. Broner shouldn't be on there either.
