i don't buy that her and floyd even dated for real.Seemed like a very fabricated relationship, only for the cameras. Anytime floyd is asked about her he gets all squirrely. I wouldn't doubt that these guys run bull**** media stories and all kinds of other nonsense to keep the fans interested in his lifestyle. His interactions and dealings with miss jackson on the 24/7 series always seemed sketchy and awkward. they didn't seem all that familiar with each other, the way a real couple would.
he just got owned by maidana who fights very similarly to mattysse. you think broner could handle lucas's power? hell no. Broner isn't what they tried to sell him as. Hes an action fighter and I like watching him fight, but he isn't a floyd like virtuoso by any means. He's beatable any night he fights an elite opponent. Maidana is a beatable fighter, and the only way broner could have looked any worse was if he got knocked cold.
Yeah and floyd can have hulk hogan in his corner who attacks her with a steel chair. I don't care for any of the WWF type nonsense that boxing seems to have a knack for sometimes. Makes it look like less of a credible sport then others.
that can man **** is super corny regardless. I'm sure broner thinks its mad clever but its as lame as it gets. If someone was looking for a picture of someone to represent the word "*******" in the dictionary, broner in his about billions trunks would more then work. As long as he has to feed his fat ****ty dad, hes got a big bill to pay.
lol its hard to argue that but that dont mean he didnt mean what he said he was trying to promote himself with can man and it back fired
are we forgetting hopkins couldnt handle dawson? Lets be realistic here, this is just talk, but if they fought hop would be an underdog and rightfully so. Kovalev isnt as one dimensional as everyone is trying to make him out to be. He has good footwork and quick feet. I think hop needs to be choosey with his opponents at this point and hes earned it, hes gonna be 50. Cleaning out the division is bull**** he can spout because the fights will never happen due to the GB and TR beef, and he knows it. As exceptional as he is for his age, hopkins wouldnt be wise to fight stevenson or kovalev at this point. No need for him to take a real bad beatdown this late in his career. Both of those guys are at the top of their game, and hops craftiness can only go so far. His lack of power will keep him from being able to keep either of these guys off of him. Both are stronger and faster then him and both come well prepared and are well trained. I like bhop too, but there comes a point where you have to be realistic. You can argue anything on the internet to no end and without an actual fight, everyone is right. If your going to use who you like or dont like as the basis to your logic in these "conversations", then your merely contributing to the circle jerk that most internet forums have become. Everyones got an agenda, and making logical arguments doesnt seem to be high on most people's lists. unfortunately.:Thinkingo
Not sure why people feel the need to make excuses for mayweather. The guy is the best pure boxer of this era. However there is no way you can compare him to guys who fought all takers, especially those who fought them multiple times. Floyd has plenty of money and will make plenty of money regardless of who he fights. If he really wanted to be considered the best ever he would be more concerned with challenging himself and really proving it then keeping his 0 and squeezing every last penny from the sport. Why wouldnt floyd fight all takers at 154? Or possibly moving up to 160. Because he cares too much about his 0, plain and simple, he thinks he may be at a too big of a disadvantage. Thats not the best ever. The best ever boxer-business man? Absolutely. An ATG. Yes. The best boxer ever: hell no.
marquez will cry regardless when things dont go his way. hes not classy in the least. He is down 2-1-1 in their series, but has the KO. I still think Pac is a better boxer and entertainer. Marquez certainly has his number, but only really capitalized on it once. I could care less if they fight again. Ive seen enough. The marquez fans will cry that marquez owns the series cause of the ko and the pac fans will cry that pac is up 2-1. Id rather see pac rematch bradley then fight marquez again. Or better yet, fight someone else altogether.
Froch totally lost his sheen to most fans who watched the fight. He looked like a beat fighter. Had nothing for Groves up until the exchange where the ref stopped it. He didnt do froch any favors by stopping that too soon like that. Froch would have been been better off getting a shot to stop him legit in stead of winning like that and then being a total *** about it after. He is still tryin to convince people that he really beat groves. At least Provodnikov had the balls to come out and say that after he watched the replay of his fight with bradley, that he also thought bradley won. Fans arent stupid. In the post fight interview, Froch sounded like a total douchebag, explaining why he thought the stoppage was good. How about if the ref woulda stopped it after his first knockdown? Exactly. He has nothing for ward at this point.
Watch the fight again. Marquez clearly lost. He should have retired after the Pac fight which he was losing, which he probably would have whined about losing had he not landed that shot. I think the piss has gone to his brain. :Flush:
Chavez turned a 6 loss fighter into a controversial decision. Regardless of whether he won or not the kid is an embarrassment to Mexican boxers. Not sure how someone can be a fan of this kid. Between the weight issues & his performance. Total garbage.
Marquez being a ***** as usual. Everytime he loses a close decision, he acts like he won by a landslide. He did it after the Pac loss, which, fine, marquez could have won, but regardless it was a close fight, could have went either way. He ends up looking like a chump when he acts like this. This one Bradley def won, hes gotta learn to act at least a little classy after a close fight. You see this a lot, the *****iness after a close fight, in a lot of Mexican boxers these days. ie: JCC JR after his last fight, when questioned if he thought he lost the fight. It was clear as day that the fight was at least close, but he acted like a total ***** when called on it. Nothing against mexicans but this is a common trend. Gotta call a spade a spade.
Froch certainly doesnt belong anymore after that terrible showing against groves but he's still ahead of broner. Hes not hated because people are haters. Hes hated because he hasnt proven anything but wants to be treated like he has. You like a guy like that? Lets face it, the kids hated on because hes a total dickhead and endlessly corny to boot. Hed have more respect and more fans if he lost but actually fought someone worth talking **** about. Instead of being brought up slowly but wanting to claim p4p status. as i said earlier, the kids delusional.
Amir is right. us americans realize thats all he was: hype. He's looked liked **** his last 3 outings. Some fighters think they can just say something and that makes it true. Maidana was the far more interesting fight. Khan needs to beat someone real again before he gets a shot at the champ.
this post nailed it right on the head. pac is past his prime and so is mayweather. Pac just smiles and mayweather changes the subject and talks about his money and how "comfortable" he is, when either is asked why they aren't fighting each other or something to that effect. Lets just call a spade a spade. Boxing isn't about being challenged anymore its about putting on a "show" and then claiming your the best and try to debate why you are the best with out actually fighting. Pac and mayweather are both *****es for not making this fight happen. It doesn't matter who needs who more or who is the bigger draw or who has more money. Its a ****ing sport and neither of these guys stepped up to the biggest challenge of their career. It doesn't matter how many bi-curios philipinos pac has in his entourage or how many cars may can pull out of his garage. When they had the chance to prove who was the best, these guys chose not to settle it in the ring. Mayweathers TBE hat is a ****in joke. unless he is referring to something other then boxing. maybe he's referring to talking about himself in the third person. He is certainly plenty good for that, regardless of how ridiculous it sounds. Both of these guys will have tarnished legacies down the road for not making that fight happen and rightfully so. Boxing is all about risk, not risk vs reward. At this level, these guys make plenty of money, there has to be a point where its about the sport, not just about business. Unfortunately thats not the case in modern boxing, and both of their legacies, as well as boxings legacy, for this era, will suffer. At some point, fans will have had enough of the reality show side of the sport, and wanna actually see people fight the fights that need to be made. Mayweather will be as much known for his kardashian-like approach to boxing as he was for skills. At some point, the public will have had enough of the side show, and all of the dick riders will act like they never participated in it. AT least Pac has actually fought a true P4P top ten lately in bradley. Who has may fought that was a true lb for lb top ten lately? Nobody. He thinks people really buy into the bull**** side stories that are supposed to make fights interesting. No real fans gave a **** that Maidana had a belt, but mayweather tried to jam the champ vs a champ bull**** down everyones throat to cover for that fact that he was fighting a 12-1 underdog. I love boxing and ill keep watching, but the true boxing fans are not fooled. The guys who are supposed to be the best, are not fighting the best fights. period, end of story.
He is right though. It's just two guys way past their prime fighting each other but still good enough to be among the top 3 P4P. Still a HUGE PPV though. Right now it's a 55-45 fight favoring Floyd. It used to be an unstoppable force (Pac) vs. the immovable object (Floyd). Now it's just a guy who might get KO'ed anytime (Pac) vs. a crybaby businessman who believes every boxer should be wearing Grants.
