If mayweather and his team believe he is d greatest of all time why doesn't he have the bal** to move up to middleweight and test him self? Is he afraid to fail? Is weight really an issue? Is he too short? Is he afraid of guys like GGG, Martinez?

All of those fighters you mentioned did move up to middleweight and all got their a.sses whipped badly. Floyd can't even make 154 and pretty much lost all of his power when he moved past 140. That is why he should not move up to 160.
They are all naturally bigger than Floyd except Duran but he let himself get fat.
duran moved up in weight for the money in addition to outgrowing 135. eating too much obviously didn't help him, but that's not the only reason he moved up in weight.
all were bigger cept duran.... duran had balls of steel. he fought everyone, he may have lost to some of em but he never ducked anyone which is why mano de piedra is an ATG
not saying floyd isn't an atg. he's one too. but there's a reason why they call him pretty boy
Floyd began his career at lighter weights than hearns and leonard-who both began at ww.
Duran moved up to MW because he ate, smoked, and sniffed everything he could and didn't take care of himself. Floyd keeps himself in tip top shape like BHOP or Hagler.
Hagler never went to 168 so I guess he had no balls and didn't test himself.
hagler stayed at 160 because that's where the money was. the biggest paydays in boxing were against smaller fighters that would all eventually fight him at 160 lbs.
mayweather is doing something similar. if he moves to 160 the possiblity of the pacquiao fight would have gone out the window. that rivalry is what's made him such a star for the past several years. it's probably made him an extra an 100 million in purses.
Not sure why people feel the need to make excuses for mayweather. The guy is the best pure boxer of this era. However there is no way you can compare him to guys who fought all takers, especially those who fought them multiple times. Floyd has plenty of money and will make plenty of money regardless of who he fights. If he really wanted to be considered the best ever he would be more concerned with challenging himself and really proving it then keeping his 0 and squeezing every last penny from the sport. Why wouldnt floyd fight all takers at 154? Or possibly moving up to 160. Because he cares too much about his 0, plain and simple, he thinks he may be at a too big of a disadvantage. Thats not the best ever. The best ever boxer-business man? Absolutely. An ATG. Yes. The best boxer ever: hell no.

He's afraid of the zero going away and he's afraid of getting knock out by GGG

why not broner vs ggg. how about pacquiao vs ggg. maybe Bradley vs quiilin. judah vs Martinez. Nobody wants too see welterweights fight middleweights.
these are the fights that are relevant for floyd
mayweather vs pacquiao(legendary fighter from his era)
mayweather vs Garcia(undefeated king of 140)
mayweather vs bradley (undefeated 2 weight class champ)
Apart from Duran Mayweather is obviously smaller than the other fighters named. I would say though that if Mayweather is comfortable fighting Canelo who weighed 165 pounds then surely he can fight Golovkin with some sort of catchweight or other such method to prevent Golovkin being 170 on fight night. The flip side to that though is Canelo is probably about as big as he can be (Middleweight probably his last stop) whereas Golovkin can go to at least 168. In short Golovkin is bigger than Canelo? The fact that Mayweather is a small welterweight means it is perhaps harsh to expect him to fight proper sized middleweights although he would be interesting if he did.
Duran started at 118. DLH 130.

What dies that mean? The guy was 5'11
Duran is the only exception; he was something else.
I'll happily criticise Mayweather for avoiding fights in his own weight class but he's a natural welterweight and should only be held accountable for not making fights in his own division.

I don't want this discussion.
Last time FMJ - GGG was even hinted at it became impossible to discuss Golovkin for weeks without the thread being swamped by enthusiastic Floyd fans.
Please, please pull the thread TS.
NEVER WILL HAPPEN AT 154 or 160
In all fairness I think they're naturally bigger than Floyd so they got away with it.

Heck, Triple G OFFERED to make 154... Hey, Pacquiao is in his own division lol. Martinez is willing to come down too... But no, Floyd thinks they live too far away.
