i was a boxer in the army and got into a street fight with a wrestler/fighter, who thought he was in a gang and tough stuff. but with me in a stance and boxing him instead of the usual balls to the wall street stuff, he was confused and didn't know what was going on, if he should box or what, so he stood there and got rocked and it was lights out very quickly. i understand this wasn't anything even close to pro athletes, but it's one for the boxers!

The guy has just lost a fight and lost one of his eyes too. WTFK is wlad thinking? There are a lot of live healthy opponents out there so why don't he pick on them? .................................................................. he's not "picking on" brewster. he lost, knows he can beat him, knows how he fucked up and wants to go and do it right this time. when lennox came to the ring buffer said he's never fought a man he didn't beat. meaning if he lost he won the rematch. rematches are a part of boxing. it's not like this is the first time. and lamont can say no. if he's not in an condition to box, he needs to quit. as long as he's willing to put the gloves on, hey, so is wlad and if he can beat klitschko again lets see it.

firstly, wow that gal under exige's name is gorgeous. and i agree with the others, good read at the top, there. personally i had the fight one round up for hatton. there's a lot of bickering about he did this and he did that and what not in regards to how the fight was won. hey, the fight was won by hatton. no excuses. instead of collazo pouting and bitching about it, he should've adapted to hatton's style and adapted to the fight at hand. period.

i agree, personally, with the folks that say the pretty one is. for some reason there's folks that think he's a fluke or overrated, but i think he's the answer to this thread and, simply put, great.

not to sound biased or anything, but wlad would be way too much for the big man. regardless of how easy wladimir thinks the fight'll be, i hope we get to see it in a unification bout, with the easy win for klitschko.

i never even thought about him being mob controlled, being italian back then. i have an old ring mag with a pic of him and sharkey staring off at the weigh-in, and it's like, damn. he looked mean as hell, was huge, and even with sharkey standing on the scale was still smaller. thanks for the info.

i never saw collazo fight before the hatton bout, but liked what i saw from him, in spurts. i'd like collazo in the fight with cotto, but can see cotto getting some hard shots in. cotto by kayo, or collazo by decision.

Wladimir Klitschko. i love both of 'em, but i've always been more partial to wladimir.

i lost all respect for the man, personally. sure, i'm partial to the klitschko brothers, but i'm also a believer in pride and honor. firstly, no way should someone even whisper ko when talking about lennox versus vitaly. lennox was LOSING and looking pathetic when the fight got called against vitaly's wishes for a cut that needed what, 60 some stiches around his eye? also, he get's introduced as beating every man he's ever faced. so it's general knowledge that he was down on points vs. klitschko, everyone in the world wanted a rematch, he promised one to vitaly, and he ducks out and retires "on top with nothing left to prove." excuse me??? until he actually "beats" vitaly, not a win, but beats the man, whatever. he should've retired before vitaly. that was just sad going out like that. in my opinion.

throw a fit, blame everybody else for losing, have excuse after excuse for the loss on every interview, and be even MORE disrespectful to de la hoya afterwards. i hope he gets so jacked for the crap he's talking.

Forget pay per view, let boxing be free and easy to watch for all. 5. More publicity. 6. I would personally kill all these people who think that there is something wrong with boxing ................................................................ i don't think it's really what's wrong with boxing as much as people just aren't interested anymore. except us! a lot of good stuff in this thread, i think. i say get rid of don king first and foremost. more unification bouts. we need to see and undisputed division king more often. but how about this, let the fans have more control. fan voting for who the champ fights or contender positions. the fans vote who they want to see fight who, and the more people that vote, the more the purse is. i think if the fans get to see the fights they want to see, they'll obviously watch.

one titles in two (soon to be 3) divisions. was in the fight of the year 4 times. won the KO of the year against ruelas. is one of the biggest box office attractions in boxing. doesnt dodge anybody. gave three of the greatest fights in history. has more heart than anybody in the sport. has faced two of the greatest boxers in our era (floyd and oscar). his resume is none too impressive and he has 7 losses. but gatti is good for boxing. hes a fearless warrior who gives the fans a good show while showing the heart and sportsmanship of a champion. i agree with winky over taylor, and calzaghe over winky. i'm glad calzaghe's getting good, big name matches finally these days. i really like the guy, but was hating when the "experts" kept knocking him for never fighting anyone worthwhile. and i don't care for winky even a little. just respect his ability.
