i dont follow canelo much... but i dont recall him having bad defense..... He was what we call in Mexico a "tronco" or tree , no hip movement or anything in the beginning . He improved ALOT over the years in this department but the main problem have always been his conditioning . that can improve IMO. Boxing skills he is at a prime level right now .
