Ali dominated that whole match but his body did get quite a pummelling, none the less that match was nothing short of amazing ! He fought the perfect game, and was just a masterful display at 30 odd years old ! Honestly there's no boxer in history that would have beat Foreman on that day. Foreman was beast! btw hitting the pads is different from hitting someone. Timing is one of the most importants aspects of punching and thats not measured on the pads. Also on the pads all you feel is the weight crashing down with force, but Tysons speed makes you feel a decapitating effect when being hit to the body or face.
There's difference between fighting a guy to a draw when you're in your late 30's after a 5 year layoff or losing a majority decision in a 4 round match in your 1st professional fight after just getting out of jail and getting KTFO by a journeyman in your 24th pro fight while in your physical prime after an extensive amateur career.
