The situation went a bit like this:
Haye fans: Klits are boring, Haye will save the division!
Haye: I want to fight Wlad, but he is too scared.
Wlad: Ok let's fight.
Haye: Great, oh no wait, I'm injured
Haye fans: He's telling the truth. He will still be the saviour of the heavyweight division.
Then
Haye: I still want to fight, K brothers are scared though.
Vitali: Ok, let's fight.
Haye: Great. Only joking, I'm going to fight Valuev instead. Don't worry though, it'll be a FOTY candidate.
Haye fans before the fight: Haye will destroy this guy and be very exciting.
Haye fans after the fight: Of course Haye fought that way, it's the only way to beat such a big opponent. Everyone knew this beforehand.
Then
Haye: I will destroy the K brothers very soon.
K brothers: OK, shall we arrange something?
Haye: Yeah...though obviously I have to fight John Ruiz first.
Haye fans: Fair enough. Mandatories are important, especially to such a respectable org as the WBA.
Then
Wlad: David Haye, you are a bitch and a coward. I will give you every single financial demand you ask for. You can even have a rematch clause. Just fight me.
Adam Booth: David Haye wants to spend time with his family so can't arrange anything at the moment. Although we are planning to arrange a fight with Audley Harrisson of course.
Haye fans: Yeah, even our deluded moron selves can't come up with a defence for this. Don't worry though, we're working on it!
This cracked me up. Great post, greened.
Forget about Haye. His style is all wrong for Harrison, even though I would take Harrison to win a re-match. He just got unlucky, he never got a chance to take Haye into the late rounds where he would have no doubt stopped or even K.O'd Haye.
Anyway, he should take on Vitali and Vlad.
Haye might be too much of a chickensh1t to face those two, but I guarantee that Audley is definitely not.
It will be a double massacre.
You feel me?
Unless you are being sarcastic, I'm unable to view you as sane.
Harrison wouldn't last as long as Austin v Wlad against either Klitschko.
From the interview:
Adam Booth "Let Wladimar bash up Chisora, then we can talk on december the 12th"
Boente replies ''You can also take on Vitali, he is ready to go at anytime, he wants Haye just as much as Wladimar"
Booth "I think David would rather take on Wladimar, since he called him out, he fancys that fight"
It's clear Haye wants nothing to do with Vitali, a smart move but ***** move at the same time.
After Wladimir knocks Chisora out and is free again Haye doesn't want a part of him either.
the winner keeps all his own tv revenue,
or the loser loses part of his tv revenue!.
cheeky bonus for knock out win too?.lol.
How about that???.
This would absolutely kill the fight for Haye. Seriously. He is defeated already.
If he was sure about his chances, he would have fought in the June 20th last year. Had he won, he would now be on top of the world, but somehow he decided not to take that opportunity.
Most fans consider Wlad to be the better brother and HW champ. If he fought Vitali and won people would just say he's old.
Wladimir IMO is better technical boxer. Vitali is better natural fighter and young for his age. His age is no excuse for me if Vit somehow loses.
8:30-10:30 Boente says that if the Haye camp can find a German network that will offer more than the 3 million RTL is giving them that they will make it happen, Booth shuts up. The German tv network thing is an excuse and anyone who could not see this from day 1 is a dumbass. Haye is a disgrace to Boxing.
Yes, I listened that part very carefully. I can't believe some Haye fans still buy it.
Klitschko's are pussyholes. Fight in UK, on PPV, 50/50 split - simple.
Ze german bastards are running scared. RULE BRITANNIA!!!!!!!!!!
Klitschko's are willing to fight wherever it makes the most sense. Obviously it's Haye who is not fine with the 50-50 or fighting outside of the UK.
Interesting that Booth wants to talk about Wlad. Indicates to me that either Haye thinks he can only beat Wlad or he can beat neither and wants the bigger draw.
Wladimir already has a fight lined up. After December 11th when he's free again, Haye likely fades into the oblivion and starts to call out Vitali when he has a fight lined up.
Green K always appreciated :)
LMAO at this "territory max" thing.
Booth says there's more money to make from German TV, and he states that like a fact because he has "talked". Boente is asking the actual numbers they could come up with and gets no answer after 7-8 months.
Oh, and lol at the Booth's "maybe it's not a problem..." about mandatories.
Maybe? Looks like they're not even willing to settle things and take care of those "obstacles".
A duck is a duck, no matter how the Haye camp tries to cover it.
I happen to be a semi-pro Motorcycle racer (600RR).
We easily hit 165-170mph on most straightaways, and usually race over 100mph with only feet (sometimes inches) to spare. I've had guys collide with me at over 100mph fighting for position to get to a turn.
And all we have for protection is a leather race suit, some leather gloves, a helmet, and special boots.
You'd have a seriously tough time convincing me that boxing is inherently more dangerous than racing sportbikes.
I know exactly what you're talking about, though not being a racer myself. High siders, collides, crashes in the first corner, guys like Kevin Schwantz barely walk after their career. Rainey wasn't even that lucky, his legs are paralyzed. And they were racing on circuits...
They race even with a cast in their arm, busted joints, whatever. Rossi broke his tibia about 2 months ago and got back on bike 5 weeks after.
Pain means absolutely nothing for these guys. If they can get on bike, nothing stops them of giving their EVERYTHING.
road racing motor bikes is far more dangerous.
No gravel traps to slow bikes down, if u come of there are lamp posts, trees signs etc u can hit.
+1
In Isle of Man TT, there has been 227 deaths between 1907 and 2009. And that's the history of just one race.
That's f****** sick!
That's what Wlad wants to do, Vagina boy now wants ALL the UK PPV money and wlad keeps the non-PPV German money, which would mean Vagina gets more like 60/40 or 70/30 in his favor.
If Haye wants all the UK money that's fine for me as long as Klitchko gets EVERYTHING ELSE. Wlad vs Chisora will be broadcasted in more than 120 countries. I don't think all those countries get to broadcast it for free.
Margarito talks like, behaves like, and looks like a marten. I wouldn't trust him for a second.
Having fun mocking a guy with serious illness, as classless as it can be.
I guess he prefers low-life over half-life.
Audley Harrison profits from greed that killed a title-unification dream!
And who is to blame? I hope that one gets knocked out, Audley very well might have balls to face a Klitchko.
They would knock that bitch brit's cornrows straight.
I think this is exactly why he keeps avoiding the Klitchkos. He doesn't want to put his 1000£ hair in danger.
this fight, like every other fight wladimir has been a part of in the recent past, will be about whether or not wladimir can land his jab
if he gets the jab going and it's landing flush haye's going to crumble
he looked small next to teddy atlas!
that being said, david haye is the most potent offensive fighter wladimir has fought since corrie sanders
and we all know what happened there.
this one should be a boatload of fun for as long as it lasts
great heavyweight title fights are still the most electric events that boxing can potentially produce
it's just not producing them regularly
Once again, we agree!
I really doubt it will be going into 12th, even if Wlad is in full control. The KO might happen by accident, that powerful are his punches IMO. Landing the jab decides the outcome.
What kind of a boxing fan are you?
An objective realist.
I watch fights when possible and having time. I don't really care what fight, and I'm not seeking them all the time.
i wouldnt be a fan of the sport if i didnt enjoy watching men fight.
i can learn from, and be entertained by almost any fight
i will say that there's a certain style i cannot stand.
running and holding in excess does defeat the purpose of the sport in my eyes (being the more effective puncher)
i will watch literally any fight
the only fights i shy away from are (and i'll watch anything once)
-horrific beatings that go on for far too long
-great fighters way beyond their primes getting destroyed by guys they'd lick back in their days
i get annoyed by guys who are out of shape
boxing is the most noble pursuit there is
no one is more worthy of admiration than a great boxer.
out of shape fighters shame the sport
they reduce it's quality
and do us all a massive disservice.
Great post, Green K coming ASAP (out of Karma now).
So Vitali doesn't need to give Solis a rematch coz he "knocked him out"... ok that's fine, then Lennox Lewis didn't need to give Vitali a rematch when he TKO'd him. Vitali was on the verge of getting seriously hurt, he was getting thrown about like a rag doll against Solis and he knowsssss it.
discuss :wtf1: :damnit1: :bye:
Vitali might not be around when Solis' knee has recovered, if it ever recovers.
You can fight with a cut above the eye but not with a busted knee, unless you're in a wheelchair.
Keep trolling, it entertains me.
Definitely Haye gives something different compared to Wlad's opponents lately. However, considering Klitschko's physical advantages except speed and quickness, and his effective style and jab, I don't think Haye gives him much problems after the first few rounds. Could also be that Haye becomes too cautious and gun-shy to be effective at all, if Wlad is able to keep tagging him from the beginning.
Hopefully the fight goes on and July will show.
Peter is a fat slob, who can only swing wide punches coming forward. Someone with half a brain and twice the fitness level of peter should be able to work this out.
Slight chance of a Ko put most prob ud for Helenius.
You mean a tank who'd make his way through a brick wall if his life depended of it?
But yeah, that's how you beat them, get out of the way and punish them for their rushing. Use your mobility against the lack of theirs.
I don't like Helenius that much, but I think he'll win a decision or stop Peter late.
Thank you for an honest response, my beloved western neighbor :beerchug:
No one can be forced to like someone. Giving them the credit they deserve is all I can ask, and that's the code I go with.
Helenius will probably win a decision unless Peter is completely shot. As limited as Peter is, it took Wladimir a ton of punches to put him out, and Helenius is content on winning a decision if his sharp-shooting doesn't finish off the opponent. Helenius would really have to go for the KO to get it over Peter and I doubt he'd put himself at unnecessary risk. Of course there's the chance that Peter is finished as a fighter and Helenius will have no trouble taking him apart.
All I hope is that Helenius gets a title shot somewhere down the line. It's been long enough since Olli Mäki challenged for the title some 50 years ago.
A very good call my fellow countryman, this is kinda "make or break" moment for Robert.
His in-and-out movement is quite good, he keeps his range and composure well, and is patient.
All this and many other things summed up makes me think we'll see a good tactical fight in which Peter trying to make it a war, while Helenius refusing to go at that and possibly disarming his hard-hitting brawling foe.
