Did Floyd bet on 10th rd ko
I think there are a few interviews where he says that he tried to bet on 9.5 rounds but was not allowed to because he was a promoter. He sent someone else to place a bet for him though.
A new trainer can't fight for him. He never throws enough for what ever reason. Can't counter it's either offense or defense and at this point you can't really teach an old dog new tricks.
Didn't they say the same thing about Rousey, but then we found out later that her sparring partners were not allowed to punch back? They had to sign a contract and everything. Surely if he is not getting touched there will be footage on All Access right?
He should just face Khan at this point. If he gets a KO it would be his 1st in years and puts him right back in the mix. If not he lost to a solid fighter and can hang them up.
Kovalev was champ for how many years and was the B-Side for most of his big fights.
Pascal got more
Hopkins got more
Ward got more
You guys wonder why Stevenson wanted thefight to go straight to a purse bid (even had the date pushed up)?
Look are the Beterbiev vs Barrera purse bid and how that was handled.
Didn't Kovalev and some of her fighters even say that they had to fight for free at some points in their careers? I know King robbed his fighters but at least he actually paid them. She is the WORST.
Or you could just give Horn credit for roughing PAC up 12 rounds
He was awkward and held his own, but you have to take the belt from the champ. I guess they are getting Manny back for those Marquez fights.
1. They fought in Horns home town
2. They were taking about the sun being in the fighters eyes the whole card maybe it affected the judges.
3. Who was Manny really going to face next? He doesn't want Crawford and already beat the whole Top Rank stable. Golden Boy and Top Rank have't been co-promoting any events. Haymon has worked more with each of them than they have worked together.
4. Low expectations. Horn didn't get Knocked out and actually one the 1st round. That set the tone for the whole fight.
5. The cuts. Blood matters
6. The Crowd
7. Judges I never heard of before today.
Bonus
8. A Rematch sells more right?
Bradley hasn't been doing much fighting so they have to give him something to do. Everyone but Atlas needs to go. Sucks that they can't have Max especially with HBO losing some of their best fighters to ESPN.
Size is a huge element obviously but Usyk coped with it fine as an amateur. I remember watching him live against Joe Joyce and he completely stood him on his head over 5 rounds. I’m supremely confident Usyk is good enough to deal with the size disadvantage.
The power is different though. I saw Wilder drop Stiverne with his guard up WTF?
I mean SHO has CBS to help promote the fight so I don't think that is it. But Wilder/Fury will have to turn up their promoting as we get closer to the fight. They have to light a spark with the casuals.
CBS was not used that much. We should have had big fights on there like Thurman vs Garcia or Porter. Spence vs Brook. That is how you build stars.
Hopefully Showtime or ESPN can put on some of those fights if it is too much for DAZN to handle
Nonito Donaire - Zolani Tete
Naoya Inoue - Emmanuel Rodriguez
Mairis Briedis - Krzysztof Glowacki
Yunier Dorticos - Andrew Tabiti
Regis Prograis - Kiryl Relikh
Josh Taylor - Ivan Baranchyk
PBC would mean he can fight on FOX and get more viewers, and maybe even headline another PPV. DAZN won't give him a Canelo type deal, and can't really guarantee him a fight (Hearn should be begging him to sign he needs a guy like that).
ESPN is always slurping him so he could go there but not sure who he can fight, plus he would probably have to sign with Top Rank.
Haymon actually gives him more freedom to be independent. Look at Alvarez for example. he is advised by Haymon but fights on ESPN now, Haymon also has fighters on DAZN too. He won't need a promoter.
Arum will keep milking his fighters for as long as he can. Why aren't the guys at Light heavyweight facing each other? They have all of them signed. At least with the PBC the welterweights are fighting each other.
Haymon will do what is best for the fighters even when they are not his own. He gave Fury a 50/50 split, for the first fight and now we don't get a rematch with the same split because Fury signed with Top Rank. You people seriously think Haymon is the problem. No one hads ever said you need to boycott Top Rank when we don't get the fights we want. Arum said he was the one that blocked Crawford vs Pacqaio. Remember when we wanted to see Yuriorkis Gamboa and Juan Manuel Lopez fight and Arum wanted to let it get bigger (sad thing is we will probably get that fight now with the PBC)? Tim Bradley was Spence's mandatory at one point why didn't Arum make that fight? He also has Konstantin Ponomarev that was Spence's eliminator opponent and didn't make that fight either.
Honestly, it's a *****show on both sides. I don't care whose got who, they just need to make the fights the fans want to see. It shouldn't be about whose winning the promotional battles, it should be about putting aside politics and making the fights the fans want to see.
PBC actually has been doing that. Now that they got their Fox and Showtime deal set we will see bigger fights towards the end of the year.
It's not Al blocking Ortiz vs Whyte, Wilder vs Fury, Garcia vs Lomo. How did Eleider Alvarez vs Sergey Kovalev get made the first time? Then Alvarez had to sign with Top Rank to keep getting other fights in that division.
PBC
Manny Pacquiao - Adrien Broner
Marcus Browne - Badou Jack
Eleider Alvarez - Sergey Kovalev
Chris Eubank Jr. - James DeGale
Shawn Porter* - Yordenis Ugas
Errol Spence - Mikey Garcia
Top Rank
Oleksandr Gvozdyk - Doudou Ngumbu*
Vasiliy Lomachenko - Anthony Crolla
Terence Crawford - Amir Khan
Eleider Alvarez - Sergey Kovalev
People here forgot Bud is on Top Rank. Je won't fight none of those guys. He will likely face Collazo next
Mike Alvarado
Konstantin Ponomarev
Alex Saucedo
If we are lucky maybe Brook could make the weight.
I figured they'd catchweight because of their feud.
Doubt he'd do that for Crawford.
He said it in an interview with fighthype or fighthub when he was at the fight. I don't think they will let me post a link here, so you can check for yourself if you want. Crawford's trainers actually walked up to him before the fight and said they wanted to do it too. That is the only fight out there that makes sense.

Does that guy still work for Golden Boy
It doesn't matter if Oscar sent the emails. If those people that did it are still employed by him then that says more about him right? Why would you sign with someone like that? Do you think they really have your best interest in mind?
It's not race baiting like you are trying to do. Errol started fighting in a Mexican gym and wore their colors on his trunks. He showed Mikey and his team plenty of respect after the fight, and always has good things to say about Canelo.
They better cause Crawford is going to need to face someone. I don't see him in any of the rankings though. Has he beaten anyone legit yet?
PBC seems to have the Welter and Jr. Middle wight division on lock for the next few years. They have some good prospects coming up too.
